The insulator separates the (positively charged) 510 pin from the (negatively charged) 510 base plate. Here is a reference photo.

I haven't checked the battery yet but will. What's the insulator? I know what the 510 is at least ;)

Be sure to also Check that there is Noting in your rda that might be causing a Problem.

I ran into something similar once. It turned out that a snipped off Coil Leg had falling into my RDA Deck. And was Shorting the RDA.

The Little Bugger was Very Hard to see. Even with a Magnifying Glass.

Thank you very much! Can I buy a new insulator and if so where should I look?
Some mods come with spares, but it is usually more expensive mechs that do that. For a regulated mod, it may be easier to replace the whole 510.

Before going that far I would definitely check all other options like the battery and wire clippings on the rda deck. If the mod still acts the same with a different atomizer, it is probably not an RDA issue. If the RDA is the issue, look for wire scraps hiding on the deck, and check the RDAs 510 pin and insulator (plastic insert under the pin, looks a lot like the insulator in the picture).

There could also be a loose wire somewhere in the mod (I've had this issue with a Pico 75). I've even seen pieces of solder brake free and lodge into inconvenient spots.

So I got home and I immediately changed both the battery and the rda. Not one or the other but both. And it works. But I don't know yet if it had to do with the rda ( a mesh Profile leaking like a sieve) or a newer battery that never gave me problems.
Because I didn't think, I have to test the battery and the Profile. I'm going to try them one at a time, then together. Or maybe together, then one at a time. I have to find out what gave the short sign and made it unable to be turned on. Otherwise it's just going to do it again.
Sigh. Someone please remind me that I love squonks. ;)

The worst or best part is that when it wasn't working I ran to Fasttech and ordered another. :D I don't really have the money to spend but I had to have a Bhive and it was a really good price. It was the first vape I won here. I didn't even know what a squonk was lol. I figure you can never have too many squonks.:p And since it's the same DH doesn't ever have to know.
