Could someone post a link for the device to test resistance?
Also where to buy, and what to look for when buying one.
How to use it and what to look for in the results.

Go to your local Radio Shack.. or heck, probably even a decent hardware store, and get an Ohm meter (or inexpensive multi-meter). You want one that can read down into the low-Ohms... because you want to see numbers like 2 Ohms. For this reason the digital multi-meters are better than the analog ones with the needle pointer.
I know that you can get digital multi-meters that will do the trick at places like Harbor Freight for under $10.
