Is My Battery Really Dead?

I got my MaxxFusion kit on Jan 10 and am really liking it. Been great up to yesterday, No1 batt going fine, No2 batt stopped producing vapor. "It's drained" I thought, so put it on the usb charger and plugged it in. Light went green and the led never lit up? I put No1 on there and the led lit up and light was red for a few minutes then turned to green. Tried No1 batt on a carto I had on the PT and led lit up, vaped fine. Tried No2 batt and nothing, no led light, no vapor? Is that the kiss of death? Any tricks I can try to see if it still lives? thanks for the Help.

have you been using prefilled cartos or are you dripping?

do you refill with the carto on the batt? has the batt gotten wet from e-juice or something else?...does the LED ever come on on the batt?
Been refilling the cartos, but don't drip. Gave cleaning the threads a try using rubbing alcohol. Also cleaned the threads on the USB charger. No change. :(I only have the one charger to work with, this is my first E-cig kit.

When you plug it into a USB port on your computer does it do the same thing? If you can make sure its a USB port coming from your motherboard, or a powered USB hub. USB ports on the side of cases, and hubs that don't have there own power adapter tend to not have enough power.

The battery you think is possibly defective, did the tip start blinking when you notice it not working anymore? Or did you just pick it up and it didn't work?

If you haven't already, you might want to try leaving the "dead" battery on the charger for a few hours and see what happens. Sometimes my usb charger light doesn't work as advertised, and the e-cig led doesn't always stay lit, but if I just leave it on the charger for several hours, or overnight, the battery is charged anyway.

Rift: I have been charging the battery in question in the same port on my laptop that I charge the working one. I can take it to my wife's desktop and try it there on a port off the MoBo.

slim66: I will try the "just leave it in" method for a few hours to see.

nycsublimegirl: The LED did blink several times originally, that is why I thought it was just discharged. But it didn't blink at all when I put it to charge. I fill the cartos off the battery, and usually let them sit a few minutes to a few hours. I have had some "wet" cartos after filling and blow and wipe them. Is it possible that the juice still leaked in? If it has, is there any method to "resurrect" a battery, or will I simply have to replace it? Anyway at all I can tell if it was juice damage? Thinking about it, I remember the green light came on while I screwed it in the time I found it stayed green when plugged in. It went off when batt was seated and came back on green when plugged in. The LED has not come on at all since this started. Have tried it with a known working carto straight off the working batt. No light or vapor.

I should reiterate, when I first got the kit I had no problems. Both batteries blinked when discharged and charged up with LED on and red light showing 'til recharged, then went green. I am pleased with this unit. I feel I made a good decision to start with this style of unit(KR808D-1). I think the Bloog was a good choice. It has worked great 'til this little problem.
