Wotofo Lush rda + clapton comp wire 24/28 gauge + Koopor plus 200w TC

I've done my best to research and make sure everything is safe, I'm not new to this but I'm not advanced. I lost my backpack on the bus along with my mod, so I figured I would step-up my game and try to push myself into trying something a little more advanced (was using a 75 watt box mod and sub-ohm RTA)

Just want to make sure I am doing this all safely before I spend half of my paycheck

Being a regulated mod, it will not attempt to fire a coil that its processor doesn't have the amps to fire it. This is what is called "protective circuitry".

I agree with Cacique. You want the highest amp (continuous discharge rate) IMR/INR batteries you can find in order to enjoy the full benefits of your high wattage mod.

  • Calculating battery current draw for a regulated mod. If using a high wattage regulated mod, use a 20 - 30 amp CDR IMR battery, which ever your mod's manufacturer recommends. The processor's amp limit determines the amp requirement in this application, not the atomizer resistance:
60W or higher:
Sony VTC4 2100 mah 30 amp CDR
LG18650HB6 1500mah 30A CDR.

40W-60W:
LG 18650HG2 3000mah 20Amp CDR
Samsung 18650-25R, 2500 mah 20 amp CDR (green wrap if you can, blue wrap is just fine)
LG 18650HE2 2500 mah 20 Amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC5 2600mAh 30Amp CDR (* tested as only a 20 amp CDR)
AW 18650 3000 mah 20 amp CDR

Under 40W:
LG 18650HG2 3000mah 20Amp CDR
Samsung INR18650-30Q 3000mah 15Amp CDR
AW 18650 3000mah 20 Amp CDR

howdy! and welcome :)

sorry about the backpack being ganked - that sucks - but congrats on the new gear :) the koopor is a decent mod, but you may want to consider checking out the reuleaux rx200 - in same price range, would just need a couple more batteries (two sets of three batteries instead of two sets of two) - bit more versatile, imo, more user friendly, great mod

what ohm build are you going to try running on the rda?

I second the RX200. I am actually thinking about ordering a few more of them as backups to my backups and so I can have them in case the vapocalypse happens.

A regulated mod is not supposed to fire a build that is unsafe; that's why people use them. It is possible to get one of them messed up buy using inappropriate batteries however. Using 20A batteries (Samsung 25Rs, the various LG models, etc.), a good rule of thumb is 1 battery, no more than 60 watts; 2 batteries, 100 watts; 3 batteries, you can usually go up to 200 depending on what voltage the mod kicks out batteries as too low to work. The formula is (set watts) / (battery low voltage x number of batteries) = (amps on the battery). You should multiply that answer by 1.05 or so to account for board efficiency losses for the most accurate answer. Most 2 battery mods, including the Koopor-- I have one-- will pulse the power above a certain set wattage to avoid overstressing the batteries but, if you want to vape at higher wattages than I have mentioned, I recommend Sony VTC4s in the mod rather than the 20A parts. I can also heartily recommend the RX 200 as well, I have two of them. However, be advised they have a janky 510 connector. If the 510 threads on your topper are longer than 4.6mm, it will press the pin so far it can lose contact and is supposed to potentially result in damage to the connector, not that I know anybody to whom this has happened. It is possible to replace the 510 connector in the mod, and I'll do mine as soon as I get roundtuit.
