Is my SB now a doorstop?

My black SB has stopped working a mere 8 months from new, and I am being told there is no repair service
Am I really meant to accept that a £70 mod has a mere 32 week lifetime? If so, then i'm not too impressed. The switch has failed with normal lite use alongside my 510s.
I thought the SB was supposed to be a tough breed, but this is the second one I have had where the switch failed. Is there a support procedure for failures, that I can use?

I highly doubt it is the switch that has failed, there are thousands of units out there that are past the warranty period. It sounds more likely with all the craptastic atomizers and adapters floating arouind that the center post insulator has been crushed. Every unit I have recieved back from overseas has had a bad atty connector insulator. There is a repair service and has always been one, it just happens to be in the US. I think you maybe misunderstood what Toby was telling you . I will speak with Toby about it more, we only had limited time this morning. No worries, we will get you taken care of.

Ahh, right. Obviously the SB button unit is not user serviceable so there is no way for me to know that. Thanks cddz
