That's the same setup I use for my out and about rig. I just got a Smoktech Zmax Mini with a Protank II for around the house. Get good clouds with both!!
Same setup i use sometimes, thought mostly using mvp a lot more. Itastevv is a great backup though. I love that thing.

You will need to advance up to a mod that can use a "high drain" IMR or hybrid replaceable rechargeable batteries. Any of the regulated (variable voltage) mods from a Vamo up to a Provari will suffice. These not only have variable voltage ability, but also have protective circuitry which can keep a novice vapor out of trouble from electrical shorts. Mechanical mods are a little more advanced and have no protective circuitry.

Get some electrical principles under your belt, if you don't already have a basic understanding already, before going to mechanicals.
There just metal tubes, so find one you like made out of good metals.

You can have a go at rebuildables with your current battery.
Just make sure your coils are above 2 ohm.
The Igo series of RBAs would be a good starting point. Nicely made and they perform well.
I got the IGO-W version. Too tight a airdraw for my taste... other than that it's really nice.
You can always drill them out though ofc.
Good mechanicals? The Sigeleis are decent, cheap mechanicals. I've heard good things about the magneto as well.
I suppose a good clone of some sort would also be a possibility... though i am not a fan of them.
At any rate you need to do some reading up on rba and battery safety.
Things CAN go wrong with mechanicals and there is much more room for user error
with these. Baditude's links are real good starting point.

Well if you want to get into rba's, there are many to choose from. First you need to find the style of rba's that you like. I have the Russian, Terminator-C and have an Aqua on the way. So far, the Russian, kayfun copy/clone, is my favorite. Easy to build, every style of build I've done has worked great. The Term-C, Ithaka clone, is a bit more advanced, great vape, but need to use both non resistant and resistant wire. Does have juice control, but no air control like the Russian. Was looking at getting a fogger 2, Tailfun clone, but then the Aqua caught my eye. Dual coil, quad juice tracks, air and juice control, all Stainless tank.
I would give the Russian or Russian 91% a look, and the fogger too. Will probably buy a fogger sometime in the future, but will wait till the Version 3 comes out. The Rose is looking good, but not available yet.
There is just so much to choose from. I prefer bottom coil attys, so that is the style of rba's that I look for. I have a couple cheap rocket rba's, but their quality of build just doesn't compare to my other rba's. Take a look at what is out there, and find one that makes you say, that makes sense, I can do that. Also research the micro coil build thread, dragon build, and the rba section of the forum, to see what it all entails.

The VV/VW v3.0 doesn't require 2+ ohms. Before moving to the SVD, I ran my IGO-L on the same setup at 1.5-1.6 ohms for the better part of the day
