Is Nicotine Harmful to the Liver?

Before I buy my first mod later I just want to know if nicotine is going to be harmful (via vaping) to my liver. I read articles online says that it is so. But by looking at the dates on which the articles have been published most of them dated between 2006 to 2009.

Does anybody know any recent studies about the effects of nicotine (via vaping) to the liver?

How long have you been smoking cigarettes? During all those years did you once consider the damage nicotine could have been doing to your liver? If not then what's the difference between smoking and vaping?

If you aren't smoking now, why would you want to start vaping juice with nicotine in it??

I have been smoking cigars and pipes since 1992. I have fatty liver now and I do not know if nicotine from all those tobacco is a contributor. Although, I know that my unhealthy food intake was the culprit.

A PubMed search I just did <nicotine hepatotoxicity> turned up only a handful of total hits, of which only three addressed the issue using animal models. It appears that if you are a post-weanling dog or a laboratory rat you should consult your hepatologist before vaping high-concentration juice

Cigarette smoke is bad for your liver. It's not so much the nicotine, but the other 4,000 chemicals that the liver has to filter out of your system.

If you are giving up smoking then vaping helps repair your liver.
