Ok I just started vaping. I got a disposable and now I have a Volt and noticed when vaping either,my teeth ache so bad and I was wondering could it be the PG? I have read some threads about this and was wondering if anyone has experienced it permanently or does it go away? Also could it be I am dragging differently on the ecig? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm obviously not a doctor or dentist- so take this for what it's worth.

Years ago my Dad quit smoking and had similiar issues. He was told that since he was no longer smoking, tar buildup that was on his teeth from smoking was irritating his teeth and gums. Smoking sort of deadens everything.

Could be something like that or dehydration. Try Biotene or drink lots of water.

I wont lie. I have some neglected cavities... What I have noticed is that certain liquids will light 'em up. Mostly sweet liquids or anything that contains caramel. Also, the nicotine can cause a burning sensation that will aggravate a cavity or sensitive tooth.

Try to position your mouth piece so the vapor is not hitting your teeth directly. Also sipping on any liquid in between vapes will almost eliminate the problem.

I have not noticed PG or VG having any impact from one extreme to the other.

Maybe I should explain better. It is feels like my teeth are being pulled out of my gums. ALL of them at the same time. My entire gums and teeth are aching. I guess I will have to see if it goes away. I think I will try vg juice and then I wil see. I'm still smoking regular cigs and the ecig also, but it's only with the ecig that the ache starts and then it doesn't go away for a few hours. Just one more freaking obstacle for me to get over to quit smoking, but it's not as bad as the chantix was. That stuff is messed up! Thanks for the help. God Bless!

A PG allergy or an allergy to flavoring additives can certainly make your teeth ache. This is especially true of the "eye teeth", the nerve path of which lies close to sinus passages in the face. Eye teeth are defined as the canine teeth, however the first tooth behind these canine teeth can be affected as well. Allergy or dehydration caused swollen sinus passages in the face (especially below the eyes and along the nose) can cause pain in "eye teeth".

The ache has gone away! I don't know what caused it but it's gone, so onward and upward. it happened for two days and then just stopped. Now I have a weird cough. That will probably go away also. I have been reading up on coughing and it seems to be just a change in the crap I'm pulling in my lungs. I am vaping a little more everyday just trying to get used to it. This forum is so awsome and the ppl are great!
