hi there; i'm having to use a plastic bottle to top up my tanks
i contacted the customer service of the company i bought from - and they weren't sure what the plastic was made out of...

they said they think:?:….. .. its PT ...

i've heard PT before - but don't actually know what it is,,,,
Is this safe to use for e-liquid,, with fruit flavours e.t.c…. ?

i'm just worrying its plastic..
(i was supposed to have glass dripper bottles integrated into my glass e-liquid bottles
but….. the merchants website does not inform you that; you'll quite likely not get your dripper bottles,, as described on their site)
most misleading advertising - i would name them, but i don't know the rules here yet.

The general talk around here that I have read says that clear plastic is the one to worry about. Milky white not so much. Our house thinks that heat helps leach whatever out of plastic and we use glass toppers as much as possible.

I ordered some glass bottles and dropper tops from this company. Recommended by other members. Very cheap and free shipping last week. You could transfer to glass from the plastic.

I'm not sure what PT is, did they perhaps mean PETE (pronouncing it PeeTee instead of P-E-T-E or PE)? That would be polyethylene. Perfectly safe, used in lab settings and long term food storage settings where glass is not utilized (think bulk commercial food solids and liquids, milk jugs, juices, sauces, etc.)

thanks - i'll check out that site.

the one i've got is kindo've milky - definatley not transparent.

but i just would rather glass - all the way.
i was only using the plastic to get the e-liquid out of its glass bottle into my pyrex tank..
Still plastic is the middle man - which i don't like.

cheers for the reply

Oops, I missed this part. You should (hopefully, if they're standard size glass bottles, what size are they 1/2oz. 15ml, etc?) be able to purchase a dropper lid from the drugstore/pharmacy that would fit the bottles you've got. You just need one and you can reuse it. Or just buy a glass bottle with eyedropper. Shouldn't be more than a couple pounds (ugh, American keyboard, no GBP sign, lol) max for that. Dropper lid only would be even less.

ETA: Amber glass bottles with "pipette" :)facepalm: we call them eyedroppers here, that's why I couldn't find them for you earlier). I'm sure there's a local source for you, too. Just find an apothecary or homeopathy shop: http://www.baldwins.co.uk/aromather...bottles/alpha-amber-bottles-with-pipette-25ml
