I've been reading this forum for... too long. Amazing amount of information here. About 5 days ago I recieved a manual DSE901 kit and some rather tasteless, yet oddly camel like "apple" liquid. I have had very few problems, everything seems to work according to spec. If my goal was to simply quit smoking this could probably do the job. It's definately lacking any vaping-enjoyment factor to me. I have enjoyed the tinkering, and its killing me not to take the unit apart. (Jonesing harder to dismantle it than to smoke it)
I'd really like more vapour, not more throat hit, or more nic buzz, just more billowing clouds of smoke to watch curl. Maybe I should just buy a mini-fog machine. :D I also tend to hit the device all at once when I go on a "porch break" and would prefer a cooler vapour (and atomizer).

Any suggestions? Is the 801 the answer?

From your description - cooler vapor and lots of it; Nic throat hit is associated with a warmer vapor and nic content .... I'd say Janty Stick which is 801 atomizer based. The bigger cartridge is a plus as well as the longer battery time than a 510 or 901 manual. I have one and it's a dream to vape and more closely resembles the act of smoking (the easy draw and good vapor production) an analog, although of course, it doesn't look like one.

Janty also has a 901 adapter, so that all wouldn't be lost on the 901 or you'll just have the 901 for a change or in case you want that 'holding a thin cylindrical object' feel. That's why I still use the 510's I have. And the Janty Stick will do well on the porch break as it can hold up to wind pretty well. There are other 'mods' that also have a longer battery life and produce good vapor but have more power for the throat hit, etc.

Or just add some VG to your current juice. I always add one to two drops per ml of liquid. So into a 3 ml bottle goes whatever juice plus 3-6 drops of VG. Billows of vapor. I use a dse 901 and using this I get more vapor than I get smoke from an analog. Of course, adding the drops will lower your nic content a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions  I heard a rumour VG was an atomizer killer , certainly nothing definative. I have been smoking analogs more than the 901 tho, the idea somehow being to conserve my very small supply. That is at least giving me the discipline to not take the unit apart. Very difficult to shake the notion that the vaping is "temporary" and when the juice is gone its gone.
