I've actually thought about that, and have heard some people really like their Red Dragons.
But I think I'm pretty good to go now with my 510 w/manual batteries.

I can actually go an entire day with one battery and one cartridge.

LOL Well, if you can do that, then you have it made. I love my Dura, but I hate constantly changing and charging batteries and refilling the cartridges.

I hesitate to mention the Janty Stick - but I love mine. The battery life is great, the passthrough is very good and you get a lot of vape. I'm using the first incarnation of the device and have some issues with the switch not always working as it should - but I understand that Version 2 will be released shortly, and apparently this issue has been addressed with the new release. Just my two pence. :)

I am still learing to post so forgive me if my post is a bit wonky, Im old and learning to vape, I can only learn one thing at a time!!
I am quoting Breakfastchef:

"Some quantifiable number of forum members search endlessly for a device that works well for them. For many, the journey ends with a commercially available device that looks nothing like an analog. Why? Because it addresses many of the 'futzing' issues. Most new members would balk at a price of over $125 for a first purchase thinking that they could purchase 5 starter kits for $30. But, in my expereince, that +$125up front would have saved me a ton of cash I dropped into other devices I use very rarely."

This is one of the best peices of advice I have read. It is what I have been trying to say since I joined here!! I heard about PVs on my local news, googled them and bought the cheapest I could find, Didnt know about all the types, models ect. I bought one.... found the forum, got another.... and another.... each time it got better! Now I am savin for a SD. In my experience the best working devices dont even resemble an analog. Take the advice of a pro like Breakfast, it will save you $$$$$$ but like Vick says, you gotta jump in and try!! I am so glad I did.

Don't hesitate. I have a Stick. I agree that it is a great device, but (and I know that people will jump all over me for this) it looks like a crack pipe. I would not use it publicly. I am one of the few who wants my e cig to look like a cigarette....absent the colors. I have two black ones, one silver one, and two white ones.

That's fair enough. For my "cigarette" moments I use my Evos. I'm very happy with them. :)

Golly - if you like coffee why not drink it on a daily basis? It has had quite a bad press in the USA, I understand, but in terms of enjoyment it's great.Would it really mess you up? Two bottles of vodka will REALLY mess you up -R.I.P. - but coffee? I grind Arabicas every day - goes so well with a vape! I suppose I'm just a terrible old hedonist....:)

That reminds me of the old rule of 3's:

A human being can live:

3 weeks without food
3 days without water
3 minutes without oxygen
3 seconds without blood
applies to me only: .003 seconds without coffee.................

It's a funny old business, this pv lark - ...

...Now then - you smoked between three and ten Camels a day? I always liked them - but boy, do they burn quickly! It may be that what you really need is a break rather than a smoke. If so by all means trot out with the smokers and have a break. Why not? You need not waste any money on devices that way.

I suppose my point is that if you're not addicted to nicotine then it would not be sensible to get that way. If what you need is a break, a chat and a change of scenery then do that - It'll be better for your health and pocket in the long run imho. :)

I can fully understand 3-10 cigs per day. I also can fully understand 20+ per day. I think this above (sorry e-pipeman), misses the point. If we were all just addicted to nicotine, the patch or gum would work. We aren't, we're addicted to smoking. I will eventually be down to 0mg nic, and will still want to use an ecig (if I find the right one and flavor).

I don't care what mine looks like, but it would be nice to be able to just vape in public regardless of what they look like. I think a campaign of sorts is needed.

Also, although my wife is likely the closest one (outside of the folks that vape and join these forums) to understanding, I think her views sum up many peoples. She feels that vaping will make the addiction greater, as you'll do it more, cause you can. While I am using it to quit analogs, she (and other friends or people) keep asking when I'll quit the e-cig.

...BUT, at least for now, I want to use the e-cig forever.

By the way, was a pack a day+ smoker of Mboro Reds....quit about 10 times, and when I picked this up, was a 3-10 cigs a day (missing some days entirely) Mboro red smoker.

I love smoking. Could care less about nicotine (after I get through the first 3 days of quitting).....

I think many of us are afraid to deal with why we like smoking so much, I know I can't figure it out. I do know I love it, though!!

Nothing will do what Deadcat wants. Nothing is the same as smoking. Vaping is darn close, though.

No problem at all. Of course you are right - vaping gives us all the fun of visible vapour, inhalation/exhalation, fiddling about with equipment and so on. I like the idea of the I-Inhale not least because you can use pipe cleaners with it! What joy! But nicotine for me is a biggie. My brain is mush without it (some would say with it as well, but they can go and take a funny run...) :)
