Not only are there 2 version out there from joye but there are more than one maker of ego-t attys. This is going to make it real hard buying good ones. I have bought from 4 different vendors on these. Three of the vendors atty work well but the 4th vendors atty's are much better . They claim theirs are 2nd generation joye attys

Hey mgmrick, would you care to let us know who the 4th vendor is?.............I for one am always looking for a product that works better.

I found a link to a review on youtube yesterday that showed a tank with a silicone cap. The cap on my tanks are made from the same material as the rest of the tank. Could this be the difference between the 1st and 2nd,3rd generation tanks. I know alot of people were unhappy and having wicking and leaking issues with the ego-t. Maybe, just maybe, the manufactures started listening and made changes to improve their products. Just look at the Royal Smoker CE2's. They are up to generation 5.

Nevertheless, I sent IndyVaporShop a email asking the differences in the 1st and 2nd/3rd generation ego-t atties and will let everyone know what they said once they reply.

When I first got my Ego-T the starter kit had tanks with silicone caps instead of the plastic ones. The silicone caps leaked everywhere, really tightened up the draw, and I ended up with juice in my mouth. They suck.

I was quite discouraged... but eventually bought some new tanks from a different vendor and it's night and day. The tanks with the plastic caps work a lot better. I personally am skeptical that the silicone ones are authentic Joye products. I think the iTank uses silicone caps, and I know they had some issues at launch regarding leaking. Apparently this was resolved in a version update.

It makes me think I wasn't sent real Joye products dispite the vendor advertising it as such, but I've moved on and don't have much to back up my thoughts... It seems these companies switch things up and there's little to no info on the changes.

The silicone capped tanks are Bauway and therefore not compatible with the eGo tank system. 1st and 2nd generation eGo T attys has previously been explained.
