I have been using a carto tank on my kgo for quite a while now, but im starting to question of the cartos im using are right for me.

Im currently using KGO batteries in a 5ml tank with 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos with three pre drilled holes. I use 60pg/40vg mix for liquids.

For the first two or thee days, i get amazing flavorful hits from it, and from then on its really flavorless and kinda rough to hit. Also, sometimes the cartos will last a week, sometimes only two or three days.

I want to keep my tank and batteries im using because i really like them, i just dont know if a better carto type would be better, different ohms coils etc

I order all my ecig stuff from hoosierecig supply, and id like to continue to buy from there.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, and ill give any additional info that could be useful if requested.
:)

I was always curious to know what the inside of a cartomizer looks like. I found these images, you should be able to click on them to enlarge them on your screen. Notice how burnt the material that surrounded the dual coils looks. Ughh.

Back on topic, it wouldn't hurt to try a variety of different cartomizers to see which you prefer. As you know, they can vary from single coil vs dual coil, ohm resistance, differences in the polyfill, and the number and even the type of holes present in the carto. Preference for one over another can be as subjective as juice flavors.

I learned that I prefer a "cooler" vaping experience, so I avoid low resistance cartos and use standard resistance (2-2.5 ohm).

I also recommend switching from dual coil to single coils. My bet is you will not notice any difference in vapor production, and may find their flavor production to be better, and I guarantee you will see long battery life. I've read that for dual coils to really shine, they require 4.5v of power, which your K-go isn't going to touch.

Darker and thicker liquids will clog the polyfill in cartos faster than clear thin ones, so just expect that as a fact.

I had used Smoktek's for months. They are still my "back up" carto when my current favorite is not available.

I'm using Ikenvape Platinum Mega (designates them as 45mm length) and pre-punched. In my experience they are a superior carto to the Smoktek's. A little better flavor production and usually last longer in a tank. I usually get 2-3 more tankfulls using them.

The problem is that they apparently so popular that they are often out of stock.

I have also tried a couple of the Ikenvape Fusions, which are now listed in the 510 thread as well as their default 801 thread. I have detected no difference in my limited experience between the Fusion and Plats.

Hope that helps some.

A lot of carto users will disagree but I still to this day prefer the ones from electronic stix. LR and hold up really good. I'm using 70/30 and have had em last quit a while.
ElectronicStix.Com · 510 Punched Cartomizers
But then I also buy bulk and punch a lot of my own. Best wishes.

I think you will. You should find it to be perhaps a "cooler" vape from what you have been experiencing, not too warm or harsh. Smoother. May allow for more pronounced flavor.

Study the following Safe Vaping Power Chart. Vaping Power Chart 2.0 - Imgur You'll see green blocks which represent the ideal vaping wattage. To the left column ohm or resistance ratings are listed. The top row is voltages.

Your eGo battery puts out 3.7 volts to the cartomizer (top horizontal column).
Find 2.4 ohm in the vertical column on the left. Draw imaginary lines from the 2.4 ohm and 3.7 voltage to the center of the green blocks. According to the chart, the best ohm carto for you to use would be a 2.0-2.5 ohm carto (considered standard resistance). Green blocks are good. Understand?
