Is there a difference in taste 1.8 ohm to 1.6 ohm Nautilus Mini

I'm not digging my nautilus Mini. I upgraded from an evod and am not happy with the muted taste, and cannot find a happy medium between the second or third air holes. I have it sitting on an istick 30w, running around 7.2 watts. I've used both coils in the kit, same results. What, if any, difference would I notice going down to a 1.6 ohm coil, before I cut my losses and stick with my evod?

Since you have the ability already to adjust voltage/wattage with your istick, there is not much benefit to trying a different ohm coil.

If you're new to vaping, you might prefer a tighter draw in the early stages, but after a while you may find yourself using higher power, and wanting a freeer draw.

Nautilus coils have a break in period, you said you've had it sitting at 7 watts which is good (better than burning the wick right away, there's pretty much no coming back when they get burned), you want to start around 7 or 8 watts and over the course of a day or two inch it up a half or full watt every mL or two until you reach between 10-12 watts, which I find is the sweet spot on those coils. The muted, strange flavor is unfortunately pretty standard when you are first breaking it in (I think its the somewhat controversial wicking material), but after about a half a tank and by the time its up to 9 or 10 watts the flavor should break through and become much, much better than an EVOD. Breaking them in this way should give good flavor and long life, about 1-3 weeks depending on juice and consumption habits. When you hit higher wattages you'll probably find that the two higher airflow holes are where you sit at, though that is completely subjective and will feel pretty different from an EVOD at first.

Outlawsx6...I been using the nautilus mini's for a couple months, then I bought the Kanger Nano tanks, its like night and day...and the Nano atomizers are cheap too. Great airflow adjustment, great taste, coils last a long time.

If you want a good vape, I would recommend trying one.....my nautilus mini's are collecting dust now.

Wow, great quick responses from everyone. Thank you.

Labubs-I like your explanation and will give that a try. Think I'll stick with the 1.8ohms. Maybe I've been to impatient?

inspects-I've read many good things about the Kangor Nanos, for that matter the Nautilus Minis also, which is why I bought as an upgrade from my evods. I'm on limited funds so I have to give the Mini a fair shot before moving on...or back.

I used my Naut Mini on an iTaste VV3 and MVP2 and usually had them capped out at 11W. First thing in the morning I'd start around 9.5W or so, then work it up through the morning as it got ready for the day. I never noticed any burning liquid, and I used both the 1.6 and 1.8 coils. I don't recall any significant difference between the resistances.
