Is there a reason NOT to go with a bottom feeder?

I'm in the market for my first APV and I've come to the decision to forego the vv/vw devices in favour for something that will last, and I think I may have found this with both the Reo mini (18490 sized) and the SB.

Now, I've read that they are both very durable and utilize good batteries....but why would one go for the SB over the Reo? It is my understanding that I can still use a tank on a reo, but the main attraction is the ability to drip without actually dripping or keep a carto filled for days. On an SB I could use a tank, I could drip, but I don't think I could drip at work, or while driving. Is it an aesthetic decision? Maybe the rather steep pricing for the Reo?

The price of the two units is being considered, but I'm really trying to make this device last so I'm willing to sink in the money into something that just works, and will work for a long time, despite all those lovely little device-meets-ground moments.

Yes I have actually, I was just reading a rather intense thread about the vMod compared to the reo. Aesthetically it's not greatest to me, but it does look pretty interesting. I was under the impression that they had a proprietary threading though. That and I'm not exactly sure on the build quality. AFAIK, you can practically throw around the Reo or SB without really worrying. Can the same be said for the vMod?

And how do you like the bottom feeding function? Better than a tank? I'm trying to find what it is about the juice feeding that makes people buy these devices. Thanks for the tip though! I'll definitely keep the vMod in mind if I can to the bottom of the boxes vs the bullets...no pun intended.

I have both. I find myself using my Reo a lot more, almost all the time actually. The times I do use my silver bullet I just drip. Both are great devices but I find the Reo to be the greatest PV out there. I have also owned a vmod and while nice in it's own right, that device is a toy compared to a Reo. Do yourself a favor and do it right the first time. The Reo is a tank and has great support. Also, the Reo is smaller than it looks and fits great in the hand. A real classy device.

I'm not a tube mod fan, but have used two different tank systems on a VV Gripper for a couple weeks. Granted, I used a cheap tank - vivi nova- and tried a kanger - never did get it working right - and I much prefer my REOs. They are stable - can set them anywhere, don't leak, hold lots of juice and I don't have to buy a special tank of SS or glass for juice that may crack tanks (there's a huge thread about juice that damages tanks). They are not fragile in a purse or pocket.

I have two minis and I also have a VV Grand. My minis go everywhere with me. I use a rebuildable atty on the VV Grand and I can drip if I want to as well. I have found no issues with the tiny drop of juice that may get sucked back into the bottle. For the most part my wicking sucks it all up and the only thing that goes back into the bottle is juice from the tube that never made it up all the way. I use cartos on my minis at the moment so no issues there with excess juice. They are serious workhorses.

edited to add: I have found REOs to be very easy to use, cleaner, and much less fiddly than messing with tanks.
