Is there a way to suscribe to threads without receiving email notifications?

First off I apologize if this has been posted before. I tried searching but couldn't find the answer.

I want to automatically be suscribed to threads I create or respond to however, I do not want to receive email notifications. Is there a way to do this? I use an app that notifies me when there is a reply so there isn't a need for the emails. Thanks in advance!

Go to General Settings

Default Thread Subscription Mode:

Select "Through my Control Panel only" option.

That should get you subscribed but no email sent.
