Is there an e cigarette that wont break on me?

The first one I bought was the blu cig. it broke after a month. the batteries stopped working and the atomizer completely stopped heating up. I just bought a new one called No 7 and its already having problems. The cartridges dont last long. One of the atomizers gives off a fowl taste. Is there one that wont break and wont cost me a ridiculous amount of money? I've heard Green Smoke is good

I personally like the 808. It gives a nice throat hit and haven't had much trouble with it. Although temporarily all my batteries are dead and I can't buy them yet... lol.

Not trying to sound negative, but from what I have seen regarding both the brands you bought, they are not that great to begin with.
I have my preference, and I am sure you are going to get bombed with everyone touting what they like.
All brands are going to have good and bad points and these things aren't made to last long. I have already had bad batteries and bad atomizers and cartomizers. It is inevitable as rain....

There is a list of suppliers here in the forum, and many of them have good warranties. I might suggest you check out some of them.

Sorry sir, there is none. The 'heater' inside the atty is not durable enough at this age (shame on science). Perhaps soon. But there are number of ways to prolong it. For a start, use at least two atty and vape them alternatively. Use higher nicotine level and control your style of vaping. I mean lessen it. You have to take care of your atty. Clean them and do not drop them. Never overheat them. Hope this could help.

Attys/cartos are considered a consumable, so they will eventually fail. Same with batteries. One way to eliminate a few problems is to get a mechanical mod. Then you really only have to deal with attys/ cartos failing. Batts for mods are usually less money than buying an ecig batt.

It all depends on what you are looking for.

The Blu, No. 7, and Green Smoke are all not worth your time or money. Both the 510 and KR808 are good solid units if you're looking for a mini. If you don't mind something larger there's the eGo or Riva, Hello 016 and a few others. They're good too. I've had my 510 since July. My eGo is still working great and I bought it in August. I've only had to replace atomizers, which is normal. I've seen other people post that their KR8 has been going strong for a year. My suggestion is to buy a decent unit that comes recommended by people here on ECF. They won't steer you wrong, although you may get tired of hearing "buy and eGo" after a while.

I started with a company V2cigs.com and they have a 6 month warranty on all there equipment. I had 1 battery have an issue with the switch ant they replaced it no problem. Sent me one and I sent the old one back. The e-cig type is a KR808. But because of V2cigs growth getting carts is very bad. Waiting 1 month for my last shipment of carts. My advice is get the hardware from them then get the carts from vaper4life.

I bought the SS No. 7 classic 3 piece as my first PV -- it did work, though wasn't enough for me.

Once I found ECF, I quickly switched to a KR808D-1, got good products from NHaler and vapor4life (what they call their VaporKing are actually KR808D-1). Cigarette form factor 2-piece. I very highly recommend getting some sort of box mod. The REO mini (my vape of choice) is made from one piece of solid aluminum plus a sliding aluminum door. They're nigh indestructible, batteries cost like $4 for 900 mAh protected 14500 (madvapes sells them) and it works with 510 atties, cartos and cartridges or anything else with an adaptor. It also carries 3ml of juice and doesn't leak.

In a worst case scenario - dead battery and a broken atty, you're talking $10-$15 to get you up and running again. It's awesome.

This person is trying to find an e-cig that works, not a box mod. Best advice is to get a larger mAh battery, such as an eGo, which won't break after a few days or a week or so.

The blu, Greensmoke, No 7, etc, are all cheap-quality e-cigs and won't last long, in general. Batteries will need to be recharged every 1/2 hour to 2 hours, and the performance of the batteries will decrease with each recharge.

New atomizers need to be soaked in isopropyl alcohol for a few minutes or an hour or so and then rinsed out and dried before using (to remove the primer liquid that's on the atomizers when they're new). Then the foul taste will be gone.

Attys and cartos burn out. Their life can be extended by proper use and washing in alcohol (I just swish in a jar of alcohol overnight) and drying thoroughly while you use a different one. I swap out my atty to be cleaned every weekend and some heavy vapers do it more often. Otherwise it will start tasting bad. Cartos have a shorter lifespan but can sometimes be rejuvenated with cleaning. For 3-piece models, the cart filling gets resistant to absorbing and can usually be replaced with new filling. I'm new, but I've heard batteries eventually start holding a charge less long and need to be replaced.

I'll wave you off from GreenSmoke because I started with those. I was a heavy smoker and the battery life just didn't cut it for me. The cartomizers were kind of crappy, too. I ended up buying juice to reuse them until I got my Riva kit, then I sent the GS back for a refund.

Mistress Nomad's Videos for Newbies (Especially Broke Newbies) is a good start. She offers lots of insight on getting started and spending a crapload of money doing it.

Good models to look at are the Joye 510, KR808D-1 (both of these are slimmer, smaller batteries) and Joye eGo (this is a big battery that will last at least 6 hours between charges.)

Is there an e cigarette that won't break on me?

No, not if you include the atomizer in the equation, all ecigs are basically a battery and a heating element and both of those are disposable items. Blu , eGo, Leo...they are all going to die on you eventually, and the atomizers will die as well. Anyone who tells you otherwise is sugar coating the truth at best. You can buy cartomizers knowing they are disposable and perhaps be more ok with them when they break down, or just factor in at least one atty a month into your budget.

You can get a mod and the mod itself, if it is a good one, will last you years, many are warrantied for years, but even on one of those you will have to replace atomizers and batteries, the plus side is that batteries, even protected batteries, are dirt cheap (3-4 bucks or less) for most mods and last just as long as the same MaH ecig counterpart.

Thanks everyone. I think the next one I get(whenever that may be) will be the 510 since everyone seems to be raving about it and it seems great. I also fixed my atomizer problem. After much soaking and rinsing I finally got the bad taste out somehow. I just put it in some almost boiling water for a couple hours and its working perfectly now.

What are these "mods" I keep hearing about? I'm assuming its used in the same manner you would mod out a video game or other electronic peripheral. Whats better about them and whats a good place to buy them at? Sorry, I'm kind of new to this.

i 2nd that. the 808 is a very dependable and easy to use model.

SAdly, battery technology is pretty crappy. There havent been many technological advancements or chemistry changes lately. Batteries these days day at most in a year or two. They just lose charge, and e cigs are even worse than say laptop battiers because they are comparatively very small and draw TONS of current. A lot of atomizer combinations just draw lots of power really fast. Thats its whole operating principle, make lots of heat really fast. Heat=energy. So batteries die way faster with E cigs than other devices. Buying an expensive MOD device that allows you to change the internal batteries is the best of the best, because you can then exchange the batts and keep your other parts. I dont have any of such mods. I only got a Hello 016 battery and ego batts. Every ego I had died prematurely or was DOA. The Hello batts have been working for at least 2 months now without any issues. I like them, but am also getting tired of these non replaceable battery type power supplies.

Atomizers, OTOH, are basically built to die. They are very fragile pieces of hardware that get stressed all the time, so they usually dont have a life much longer than a month or two at most with heavy vaping. PLus, theres all the gunk left over from the vaporization that decreases performance.
