NIB probably just means new in box, the box is labeled ego, but I see no branding on the battery and I'm not sure what that symbol on the box is. My guess is that it is a fake at $25 and around 10 kits. If he had 10 real kits that is a lot of money out the window to sell at 25 bucks a pop.

My thoughts exactly, weird logo symbol. Also, I've had my experience with non branded batteries...live and learn.

Ehh, I'll stay away. I typically avoid Craigslist like the plague, never bought anything there, but sold a couple bikes and computers on there, and people always want something for basically nothing.

I sold a car on craigslist. LOL poor guy! But seriously, it was a good car. I just have a rule: Leave me stranded three times, you're gone! That Volvo decided to test me on this. It lost.

I wonder how many people have bought crap like this, it failed and they never really got into vaping to give up the stink sticks. Sad really...glad I knew what pieces of crap knock-offs can be and gave it another shot with real stuff.

Sadly, most people in Malta are getting these POS ego kits...many become annoyed with them lasting all of a week and then falling apart...then they tell all their friends that e cigs are crap. To add insult to injury they are paying around 50 euro...they could have much better stuff for the same money...

That really sucks. I got an Ego kit with POS batteries at the start and they both failed in 2 days. Luckily I figured out by reading up on these forums that I didn't have real batteries before they failed. When they crapped out on me, I was also lucky in that I bought them locally and they exchanged them for real Ego batteries. My question is, why were the knock-off batteries in my starter kit to begin with? I guess resellers don't always know what they are getting, and they've done well with me every other time so I chalk it up as a fluke experience.

We need to find a term besides eGo to specify a fat battery with a 510 connector and cone threading. I use KGOs and they are reliable, work well, and unregulated so they come off the charger at about 4.2 volts. Some of the eGo class batteries are real crap, others are made very well. Real Joye eGo's are regulated to 3.4 volts, KGOs (and others) are not. I buy my KGO batteries at sweet-vapes and they have all been 100% reliable...

Support your local vendor . But seriously if you buy from a reputable vendor that knows his stuff and have tested it out then that is the place to buy . Is that guy on craigslist going to give you a refund if one of the batteries is DOA . One of the vendors I use ordered a single ego-C twist 1000mah to test before he put them up on his site . He tests new products and buys from reputable sources and I trust his attention to quality .
