I am NOT a battery expert, but from recent research these seem like flashlight batteries. I wouldn't use regular Li-ion batteries in a mod, I would look for IMR high drain batteries.

Thanks halfempty. Still on the fence. I want a ProVari really bad.Just thought I'd try something a little less costly to begin with. Heck, with the shipping times from China I could probably have enough saved by then.

I'm new to all this also and just recently got a Smoktech SID as my first mod. Found one on sale for about $40 here in the US. For the price I'm happy with it and it should keep me entertained until the next wave of new products comes out.

That soundslike agood find. My B&M here has a Spire that looks pretty nice for about $80 plus charger and batteries. Tested it out the other day. Seems really nice. I get it that prices are cheaper online and such but I'm a gotta have it now kinda guy plus I have somewhere to go with any questions or concerns.

I like my iTaste SVD and it was purchased from there for like $30 something dollars. I bought the battery on EBAY though. I stick with AMRs and the Sony (green) one.

That's a good deal on the Spire. I haven't ck'd prices online but I had heard they were retailing for apx $100 w/o batteries or charger. They also come with a year warrenty which isn't very common. I've heard there's only a couple of retail outlets with them. Like I mentioned, I haven't double ck'd that information. I just thought the Spire was headed in a good direction.

Yeah. I went in there the other day and he wants $100 for them. 150 with upgraded batteries and charger than what comes with it from internet. Gotta have one next Friday.
