Is this new, or am I just to lame to have noticed?

I just posted a reply to another thread and noticed that when I abbriviated the word was underlined with a dotted line. If I put my mouse over the abbreviation, it tells me what it means. For example the word atty vg or pg. put you mouse over it and it will say attomizer or whatever.

Maybe it has always been there and I was just too dense to notice

The only reason I even noticed was bacause I accidentally ran my mouse over it and saw the little pop-up. I was like Whoa, wassup wit dat? Then I looked at other abbrv. and noticed that all of them had a little pop-up. Thats a pretty cool tool if you are a noob, but when I was a noob I never knew it was there. That could have saved me hours of time when I first got here.

try to switch to foxfire an it won't do that. I just get the underline if i spell a word wrong.

I'm pretty sure it's a recent addition. I was reading about it the other day. Of course the way I move around on this forum It could have been an older thread. Don't think so though.

Holy not smoke, Batman!!!! I have never seen this! But it's an awesome feature, IMO. It shows up in Firefox and Opera (though I can't vouch for Windows versions of each... Firefox doesn't seem to get the "remember me" feature on Mac but Opera does)... this made my day

Well now I feel better that I'm not the only one to notice this cool feature. I have a feeling that it is pretty new to the forum. But I suppose one of the mods has the dirty job of keeping it up to date.
