I assumed this was a bad thing so I have stopped using the battery and ordered a new one. After disconnecting my AW IMR18650 from my charger, I noticed that the negative end of the battery is now concave. I'm using it on a K100, and the shape looks like its from pressing the button too hard? Or maybe pressing it the normal amount under heat?

I've attached the images. The battery is relatively new (< 1 month). Should I recycle it and buy a new one or just be more cautious when using this one?

Also is this a common thing? Now I know to avoid pressing the button too hard at least...

There are no other flaws on the batteries exterior other than this one.

Exact same thing happened to one of my 18350's - on the same device. I think it's that white plastic ring inside the button assembly and screwing it on too tight that is to blame.

I recycled mine. I don't feel good about using it to be honest.

Now I just leave the top tube loose and screw the battery in - then tighten the top tube down until it fires.

Thanks. I have been screwing it in kind of tight because it makes it feel more sturdy, otherwise the top tube wiggles and stuff. I'll keep this is mind!
