Is this regulator ok?

I saw this at RS and I wasn't too sure... It would be in a simple 2x 14500 mod.

Is the amp rating too low for a mod?
should I just order one from madvapes or something?

One amp wont cut it. You can take a look around here in the forums for something to build or a madvape kit would work also.

Yeah thats what I was afraid of... :/ I have a few from mad vapes I plan on ordering but was hoping to lessen the amount I have to order. I can sneak to RS and buy goodies but my wife will see it in the email

For the record that reg has been used by several people, myself included. It does work, but will get pretty freakin hot if you take long drags. If you let it get too hot, it will fail.

It's not suggested to use, but in a pinch, it will work.

Why not hit Rat Shack up for a LM317T and do a simple VV mod?

Why not hit Rat Shack up for a LM317T and do a simple VV mod?

Even if he doesn't want to have the extra parts of potentiometer/etc..., he could stick a resistor between Vadj and Vout to have a nice stable 5v output. Good catch for a rat shack part!
