So I saw on a youtube video of a guy who made a build for the Velocity clone by Tobeco. In the build, he had 4 coils. Two coils were going in the top two posts and two in the bottom two. I tried to mimick the build, but with clapton wire, and its running at .25 ohms, and is just really ....ing hot. Does anyone know if all of this is even safe? I will upload pictures in a sec.

Running on an X-Cube I see, you should be fine. Max Wattage/6.4v=max CDR you will need those batteries to sustain at lowest charge state. Over 120watts, Sony VTC3, VTC4, or LG HB6 batteries (30amp CDR), Under 100watts, any of the 20amp CDR batteries will suit you, play it on the safe side for flexibility and decent mah, Sony VTC4s.

Claptons by nature run hot, you got a lot of wire in 1 coil, you are running into the fact you are compounding that X4 the heat. Truth be told, I can barely stand a dual coil Clapton due to heat, most times I run a Clapton it is as a single coil. That and they kill batteries something fierce, I like to baby my batteries anymore.

I'm not sure, but it's possible that the top coils will be getting proper air flow as they are so high. Also with the coils directly above each other, the convected heat from the bottom coil will be directly striking the one above.
I know a lot of people love this atty, but I have struggled to find a build on it that I really like.

My favorite for the velocity is a triple parallel 30 gauge 12/11 wrap , 2.5mm ID.

I think he meant that you shouldn't try something if you're not sure of its safety factor. I mean, we are talking about potentially blowing up your face here.
Well like i said in the first post. I saw it in a video, so I knew it was pretty much safe, but I wasn't sure if I did something wrong to make that happen...
