I saw it in a video, so I knew it was pretty much safe

I saw a guy castrate a bull with an Old Timer once. Doesn't mean it's safe.

Well like i said in the first post. I saw it in a video, so I knew it was pretty much safe, but I wasn't sure if I did something wrong to make that happen...

But just because he was doing it in a video doesn't mean that you're safe doing it. You could have a number of things go wrong or differently than he did and... BOOM! If you ask here, your safety will be prime concern. Do what you want man. But we all hope you be safe about it is all.

Seeing it in a video doesn't make it safe! Someone could make a video and it work fine for the first hour, or maybe day, then boom. Videos are made everyday full of unsafe things.
