Sorry to keep adding but digging has left me with nothing but hyped up 100A pulse rating nonsense and that is only for .5 seconds (who the hell takes half second pulls lol, that is not applicable to us at all) and if I am not mistaken aren't INR more volatile than IMR in a venting situation since they are a more unstable chemistry?

You should never run it above the continuous rating, but if you want to here's some info.

Awesome info man, much appreciated on that one and I know this isn't generally your ball park so once again thank you much....That being said it looks like 6 seconds at 45A is about the best you will get out of these, sad, but still impressive I suppose and I guess these would be great in a regulated device or run in parallel...I just do not understand why no other manufacturer can out do a sony, I do not need the huge amount of amps but a bigger cushion for my all day builds would be appreciated by at least one company lol

lots of folks are complaining about the poor life of the IMREN cells. supposedly they start off punchy, then die off rather quickly.

yeah they are not supper durable, but they vent safely(vented mine on purpose after like 350- 400 charge cycles, hehehe, should of taken a video) and they do have a great great punch when they are new. I noticed mine started to loose capacity after about 200 charges.

If they work at it they have the potential to surpass Sony's in the future imho

it is actually lest than 1 second. it is 100A >1sec, but you can puse it at 60A for like 6 seconds, I have two and love them

if you read my previous posts I had already figured that out...lol, I now have four and am in the process of testing them with no problems whatsoever so yeah, not a bad battery at all...but time will tell

Agreed with the initial "punchiness" but does that correlate to an "enjoyable" long lasting battery, not really...I have two of the green IMREN 38A and they now sit there after a couple weeks of testing and not holding a charge for than an hour on my builds with a satisfactory "punchiness" so not a bad battery for most but I would not say that makes them close to "sony status" and not to mention VTC is no longer a "sony" manufactured battery and have not been for some time, just saying...

Can't say for sure about the specs because that battery is not on the list. But ignore the pulse discharge rate. It will get you into trouble. I'm not even convinced that any pulse discharge rate has any real application.
Battery amp calculator gives it a max rating of 50 amps. But for safety I go with the listed "Max continuous discharge". Beyond that you are stressing the battery.

In theory, every battery we use in our applications is a "stress" on the battery, continually using it in short bursts of amp draw over and over again, but I get what you are saying...IMR batteries are a very safe chemistry and although I appreciate your safety sentiments as far as "stressing" my batteries, I put my batteries through the olympics on a constant basis and yes I wander into pulse amp limit territory I do not go over that or mess around with actual "shorts" kind of builds. I have been told by many that what I do is unnecessary and I will lose my face but I buy good IMR batteries and never anything less...I once had someone ask if I could prove what I was claiming with my builds and filmed this video with a yellow MXJO just to put the accusation that it could not be done to rest...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLa3sCvPFNY

That being said, I test all of my new battery batches in steps of decreasing ohms to see where their own individual safety cut off is, I have the necessary testing equipment needed to pull this off and this is not an all day vape set up for me but rather a competition set up for work related purposes involving cloud comps and marketing...pulse limit does not mean your battery will die, simply that it will not last as long and each and every battery I get is put through my testing process before I do a build like this (everyone knows different batches will have small differences if you know batteries at all lol) In so far as I know...I am still not "in trouble" and still retain my face lol, happy vaping everyone:)
