is this vaper tongue?

for the past day or two whatever flavor i drip into my rda tastes pretty bland. i get a tiny hint of the flavor but overall they all have a weird aftertaste and just leave me unsatisfied. is this vapers tongue? also throughout the day while I'm working i switch flavors a lot. by the end of the day i have 5 or 6 bottles sitting out without a cap on. do you think that my juices are losing flavor due to such long exposure to oxygen?

If you are fairly new vapor I would say vapors tongue. I had it after a few weeks after I started and it was awful. Just remember drink plenty of water and try gently brushing your tongue when you brush. If will go away I promise.

Are you using the same wick for all 5-6 bottles throughout the day? Mixing the flavors on the same wick? High vg juices tend to coat your tongue to hinder tasting full flavors.

im not a new vapor at all. and yes i do use the same wik throughout the day but change it every other day. I've never had this problem until now and I've been vaping the same way every day for about a month now

I have had bouts every now and then with loss of flavor. It usually passes in a day or two. Try something minty to breakup the monotony. A spicy meal also helps me. Kind of a taste bud wake up call!

Try drinking water with a little lime juice in it. I found that clears up vapers tongue almost immediately.

Sounds like it to me, hate it.

I rinse with strong mouthwash to shock the tongue and then sniff coffe from the bag of beans to clear the nasal which seems to help when the dreaded vapor tongue hits. Just have to wait it out, good time to burn those juices you aren't crazy about as you can't taste anything anyway...lol.

Good timing on this thread, it just happened to me (again)! It's the worst. While at work today I was checking out the tracking numbers for some new juice I ordered, and I saw that most of it was delivered to my house. So I rushed home, tried them all, and I taste... nothing. So, discouraged, I popped on a tank of one of my favorite juices and... nothing. Meh.

If you are a menthol fan, I recommend having a bottle of something strong (my favorite juice is Halo SubZero) to get you through it. Either that, or cinnamon (preferably in a glass tank, just to be safe). Then you just vape through it with nothing but the menthol/cinnamon, or as others have said, unflavored juice or a juice you normally hate... drink a ton of water... and in a day or 2 you'll suddenly notice your sense of taste is back to 100%.

I found that when taste goes "numb" for me, which is still quite often, and all the juices start tasting the same, I take a big drink of ice cold water between each vape, and WOW the flavor really gets rich.

When and if you really get a true vapors tounge this won't help you could drink a 5 gallon tub of ice water between each pull and it will taste like nothing

keep in mind, 80-90% of the "taste" sensation is actually smell, perhaps something that cleanses the olfactory is in order as well
