For some people...things they eat can apparently also affect the taste buds. For myself, and a few of my friends who vape, garlic will cause it sometimes. A couple days later though, after frequent teeth and tongue brushing...our sense of taste is back.

I vape pretty much 1 DIY eliquid all day, every day, but have never had a vapor's tongue problem because of it. The only 2 times I've had it in nearly 4 years of vaping...has been from too much garlic in or on something, or eating something made with it too frequently in a few days.
ohhhhhhhhh i ate some garlic maybe because of that, ...., i will never touch garlic/onions anything similar again thanks

When we figured out what caused it for us, my friends and I didn't go Cold Turkey on garlic forever. We just don't eat as much of the foods that are made with it. Haven't had VT at all since then.

thanks for the answers everyone, i found it, its the ducking garlic probably, i remember i ate some garlic right before i got the vapers tongue it caused it probably!

In my own case, it happened after I ate a lot of pizza made with the garlic & butter flavored crust. I remember the garlic was actually pretty strong on it. A couple others remembered they got their VT after they ate at the Olive Garden. Quite a few of their dishes contain quite a bit of garlic. So...maybe it IS similar for you.

well, i'm sick and my nose is stuffed, and i started smoking cigs again about two months ago, i don't drink alot of water my mouth is always dry... welp, why did i get vapers tongue very odd?

I got vapers tongue every time I quit vaping and went back to it. Once I had smoked again, and once I didn't smoke at all (just quit vaping) but every time I left vaping and went back to it I ended up with vapers tongue for a short time.

If you went back to smoking this is probably the cause..

I love garlic myself and have never found that to cause it in myself, but we are all different.

Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
VT was an on and off thing for me during the first yer and half. It does get frustrating, and it does get in your head. Just keep changing the flavors, I had about 20 different flavors I would change up all the time, sometimes 4-5 a day. After about a year and half it stopped, now I just get burned out on a flavor after one or two, sometimes three days and change to another flavor and now I have maybe 3-4 main flavors that I rotate between. Sometimes Ill go back to the old flavors for something really different. It does get better, but you gotta just vape right through it.
