Is vaping bad for someone who takes care of their voice and skin?

No. If anything the nose and lungs will be clearer for singing! One of the side effects of vaping I discovered is that I can sing again. As for the skin, I would not worry. Vaping has done nothing to my skin.[/QUOTE

Well when vape clouds surround your face, can that possibly make you break out (Acne etc)?

Had a local male v-vert, whose GF is a singer and part-time smoker, buy her a Riva kit from me. She just got back from a J'ville, FL engagement with a joose reorder. She says that she can really tell the diff twix a cig and vaping. She said she gained an half octave with vaping... (hearsay from da singer).

Can't help ya with the skin thing. At 65, I'm leather coated inside and out due to my past cig habit!

Well blu, there is nothing worse for the skin than smoking. You sound like someone who is interested in vaping alone for the fun? Vaping dehydrates the skin--some people say their skin cleared up from smoking, mine took forever as I was dehydrated and is still not as nice if I had quit. So vaping is a million times better for your skin than smoking, but if you're planning on starting for fun then keep it high nic and drink plenty of fluids.

it's water vapor so no acne... However, remember nicotine comes out in the pores so massive nicotine from vaping can lead to oily skin, sweating.

Even as old as I am, I haven't experienced near the oily condition as when smokin'. But I'm just one rubber duck in life's 'county fair arcade' shootin' gallery!

Dehydration is the biggest side effect of vaping, which can have adverse effects on the throat and skin. That is why drinking plenty of water is so important when vaping. Vaping high VG juices can also help with that, as VG is a milder desiccant than PG.

so in other words you're saying that vaping is damaging to the skin and throat? but water can resuscitate the damages?

I think that if you are not a smoker, don't try and vape. Simple.

If however, you are a smoker, you already probably know, that cigarettes are very aging to the skin. One can pick out older smokers who have smoked for many years a mile away out of a crowd, you can also hear that they are smokers by the damaged voice.

I was a smoker for years. I've been off analogs for about a month now. I think vaping is probably the reason why my lips have been chapping.

Yep, it is. I started vaping the same time I started swimming, so I didn't know which was doing it. I stopped swimming, but the chapped lips persist. I am also kind of hypervigilant about how hydrated I am, and I have had to run to keep up with the dehydration that vaping is causing. Used to 1 gallon per day, now more, maybe 1/4 or 1/2 more. If you think about it, we are not inhaling water, but we are exhaling it....

Have had skin dryness due to menopause, too, so I am hoping that is relieved somewhat by quitting smoking, but I can't tell yet.
