Is vg necessary?

I'm usually a good google searcher and couldn't find anything on this, so I'm sorry if this is repetitive.

Is there anything wrong with making diy juice without vg? How does it affect taste?

Some commercial e-liquids are 100% PG (v2cigs, dekang). These have very low vapor production and amplify the effects of small changes in flavoring, whereas higher VG liquids are more tolerant of the same percentage variations. As per DIY, I would consider working with high PG percentages to be more difficult in getting flavoring percentages just right.

I use 85% PG with all my DIY juice and have no issues I vape around 6 watts with 2.0 - 2.5 ohms.

Thank you for the excellent explanation. I ran out of vg and started using pg only. What has been said is right on. My flavors aren't coming out like they used to, and now I understand why. Muchas gracías.

Ya' may be blowing less smoke... PG is known to supply the throat hit, some say Nicotine...
