One thing that patches, gum, and regular e-liquid have in common is that they all make me want a cigarette more than ever. It's like the need for tobacco is amplified by using nicotine alone.
I get the urge, I vape nicotine, but all it's telling my body is that it's an incomplete satisfaction, so I want to smoke.

Without WTA, that's what I do, light up. With WTA, it's maybe 95% of the "benefit" of smoking. Not perfect, but a huge leap toward eliminating analogs.

WTA FTW.

That's right on the spot, aaron. Having snus in was the only time I didn't want a smoke. If I didn't have a portion in, I wanted a smoke. Sometimes, I'd light up with a snus in just out of habit. The WTA lets me keep the hand to mouth habit, and takes away the urge to light up. I still use snus when I can't vape (and just because I enjoy the flavors) but the WTA is filling a lot of gaps that would otherwise make me smoke.

hitt,

I think the same calm you get from snus is in the WTA as well. It just takes the edge off in a way that plain nic can't accomplish. It's the lack of tension that I noticed first, and the relaxed feeling that makes it so much better. Less anxiety with the WTA. I'm finding the same "effect" in snus and WTA, and I like that I have choices about what I can use to avoid that smoke.

Plain nicotine, in juice form or otherwise, doesn't remove the edge, it adds to it. People smoke to feel relaxed, and there's two parts to it, the stimulant side from nicotine, and the relaxing part which definitely comes from something else. So we get real edgy and smoke a cigarette and calm down. With vaping regular juice, we never really calm down. With WTA, we do. Ahhhhh.... :)

KC,
I have noticed that I get jumpy if I over vape, but not if I chain smoke or use strong snus. I think the balance in the stimulant / relaxant factors is the key. I have enough stress without amping up the anxiety. I prefer the level field.

Finally I see that so many others know this! Everybody talks about vaping like it calms the nerves? Maybe I should add some coffee to really help?! Without WTA you will just continually go up until your damn body starts to vibrate...I HATE THAT!!!!!

There was a study done of smokers and they found that how you smoked either contributed to your nervousness/anxiety or calmed you down. For instance, in a stressful situation (taking a smoke break outside of a hospital, or chain-smoking on a break where you can't relax and enjoy it) - it raised your anxiousness or revved you up / on the flip side, when you would sit down and relax after having dinner or whatever, you actually smoked differently - long, relaxing drags, no hurries - thereby calming you.

Since vaping nicotine is different in that you absorb the nicotine much slower and your brain is "waiting" for it.... perhaps this is why chain-vaping occurs - revving you up, the anticipation factor as well as the physical one.

It seems, however, that besides having other tobacco components, WTA permits a faster, or more efficient perhaps, nicotine delivery system (along with the alkaloids)....making the difference for those of us that aren't satisfied by regular juices. Perhaps it's not just the WTA but how nicotine and WTA perform together. (Just like B vitamins perform better as a B complex instead of singularly).

Or I could be nuts :p It's ok, I've been called that before:blush:
