I have a 510.
I decided to rotate my atty's. First week of use is over, and I can tell my old one was getting gunk build up (cleaned out with a little diet dr pepper, and gonna let it purge over the night. However, I just looked inside my new atty and I see what looks like plastic fibers sticking out of the side of the coil. Is this normal/safe to vape?

All true and good Joye 510 attys will have a visible fiberglass wick that sticks out one or both sides of the atty bridge. It's an important feature of the 510 atty.

This wick may turn black after a while, but it is not burnt and does not need to be removed. It has just become discolored by the remnants of your e-liquid. A good cleaning almost always brings them back to white.. or off-white.
