Issues with flavor! (Or are my Taste buds broken?)

Hello ECF!

Just wanted to see what others think about Liquids not tasting like they used to or how you imagined they would.

I have been vaping for about a year now and it seems lately my taste buds just can't taste anything I vape anymore. It's almost like vaping chalk with sweet flavors and vaping chemicals with fruity flavors.

To be specific, I use a chuck mod @ 3.7 volts with 510 slb and boge soft tip cartos. I always keep them nice and juiced up using Tasty Vapor liquids.

Can't really blame the liquids as everyone knows and loves the great Tasty vapor, and I know they are good myself. I really love geof's blend (when I used to be able to taste it) and their tobacco flavors / menthol are really strong and about the only flavors left that actually give me a good taste.

So I gues i'm wondering what others think about flavor diminishing. Is it just a problem of vaping to much? ( I vape to around 5-10 ml a day) Maybe I need to start a DIY project and get some flavors and sweeteners of my own to get the taste back in my juices.

I has recently gotten some Peach Melba and Tasty finger from Tasty Vapor. Both 48mg - 0 VG, mixed with doubler (30% vg) to around 12-18 mg strength (I just eyeball when I fill a dropper about 1/4 to 1/3 ratio). I can taste the flavors, they are great!, thennnn nothing!.. Just chalk.

i personally think it's just from vaping too much, and sometimes nasal congestion or a dry mouth.

i'll sometimes have success if i just focus on real food for a while and drink a lot of water/brush my teeth and stuff like that.

i think vaping messes up the toungue/nose. it's not as bad as smoking, but i think it's pretty close sometimes in terms of loss of smell and taste.

if you didn't vape you'd be smelling and tasting even better than you do now, that's just fact. it plays some role, though minimal compared to tobacco, in limiting these faculties. i think it just comes and goes as vaping gets too intense or tapers off.

Have you tried ditching the carto and doing some dripping? I felt I lost a lot of flavor when I was using cartos, especially the new ones. So I went back to dripping and just recently purchased a Mr. Puffer to eliminate the need to drip. The flavors are much more pronounced with dripping than cartos IMHO.
