I have a itaste vv and the solder point for the ground has broken off four times letting the circuit board move around freely.. is this a common issue with this model?

No that's not the norm. How long have you had it? If it's fairly new see if you can take/send it back for another.
I've had it for a little over six months.. it broke off inside somehow and I had to grind off the rivet on the back take it apart and re solder it.. I've repeated the process three more times.. I think it had something to do with my device specifically when I bought it the top piece that has the rivet in it had a slight wobble to it which I think initially broke the ground..
is the wild wire the one from the battery to the board or from the board to the case/510 fitting ( negative)?
Yea its the negative wire the wire feeds into the board on the bottom and the solder point is on top of the board to the 510 connector piece
