Does anyone think this will be a winner? Not sure why they didn't put tc in it

istick 100W Box mod
eleaf is stepping up its game with the release of the iStick 100 watt box mod. It is now up for presale through SmogDistro for just $34.99. If you enjoyed the original iStick devices, or if you are just looking for a higher-power box mod, you should definitely check this newest incarnation out.

Eleaf products have been great thus far, and they have received a lot of praise from the vape community. With the high praise that the other versions of the iStick got, the 100 watt version will probably face the same reaction.

The only thing that could keep the iStick from making the waves it should is that Eleaf is also producing a 40 watt temperature control device. Despite the 100 watt not sporting temperature control capabilities, it has enough power to satiate the majority of the vape community.

The Eleaf iStick 100W is a dual 18650 device, and it runs from 5-100W. It is made entirely from aerospace-grade aluminum, making it incredibly lightweight like the other versions of the iStick. All-in-all, the iStick line is great, and the 100W is much of the same.

If you are in need of a new high-end box mod, you should place your order for the iStick 100W. At the low price of only $34.on.

Which is a point that would make for interesting market research. Are most folks buying these devices for the battery life, or for the wattage?
Might have an impact on what products we see in the future.

One thing is for sure, companies like eleaf need to keep developing new products in order to stay in business.
It's also a given that all that will come to a screeching halt when a deeming date takes effect, and that means that we are living in a 'make your fortune while you can' type of an environment.

I just can't figure out why I would want one.
Hell, my 50 watter has never seen more than 10 watts.
It depends on what tanks and coil you're using. I use 15-20 watts my subtanks. The new vertical .5 occ I like around 25 watts. Then my dual coil vct .6 coils I use like 35 watts. So, still, I agree 100 watts it's ridiculous lol. I like my Coolfire 4s, 40 watts. It's all I need and then some.

I run my KF's at around 25W-ish, but my drippers need 50W to work right. And I have a pair of claptons in a CLT2 that you can't get hot enough to fire at less than 80W with the AFC opened up. I can definitely dig a 100W mod for $35. And I have always steered away from mods that you couldn't pull the batteries out. I will wait for some user reviews, but I see one of these in my future.

I wish it had an internal battery, but everyone is different. I mean if their 30w had a 2200mah battery and the 50w had a 4400mah battery, following the trend shouldnt the 100w have a 8000mah battery or something? Haha. Im sure a week after the 100w comes out they will make a 120w with tc. Should i need a 100w mod in the near future i would give it a look. For now im fine with the max 60w on my mvp pro.

I have several dual battery mods and mostly buy them for the battery life. I don't think they've ever seen more than 50W and usually see under 35W. Not sure I trust Eleaf on a 100W mod though. Geez, if that exploded

This, and I like eleaf stuff.

why would you want internal batteries to begin with? As I've always said the battery goes, you've got yourself a expensive paper weight. Better to have external batteries, the way to go IMHO :)
Eleaf, and KangerTech are just putting out devices, and atty at a warp speed, enjoy it while it last. I'm looking forward to trying the Istick 40watt with TC, I've never had a 100 watt device, all I have is my Kbox 40 watt, and I've never pushed it beyond 35watts

I totally agree. The fact that it has external batteries is what attracts me. Not knowing what the future will hold, I've pretty much stopped buying mods with internal batteries.

I agree. I want to be able to choose the specific battery that I use, not what a manufacturer decides to use. In my experience, mod manufacturers don't always make the right decisions concerning the batteries used. The other point is when a LiPo battery dies from old age, the entire device is a throw-away. Replaceable external batteries make more sense economically over the long term.

I also prefer using a safe chemistry battery. LiPo batteries used in internal non-replaceable devices (MVP, iStick, et al) are not safe chemistry. When LiPo batteries fail they go up in flames or go boom.

Does it blow up twice as often as the 50W?

Personally a 50W device isn't enough for me. My Freemax Starre never sees less than 60W and sometimes as much as 70W. I could easily push it higher than that, but I like a cooler vape.

Actually it will be the opposite. To hit 100W it's running the batteries in series rather than parallel so the voltage will be doubled, not the mAh. It will be limited to 2500-2600mAh, the mAh rating of the high end 20A batteries on the market right now.

So it's going to have significantly less battery life than the 50W does.

So far the dual replaceable battery mods seemed larger than i wanted to carry and the single replacable battery mods have me carrying a spare battery. My istick 50 was a good buy. But now i'm doing temp control. So far i have a single replacable battery tc mod. My second tc mod will be 2 battery, probably built in to keep it smaller.

100 watts was inevitable with them. I didn't think we would see one that you had to put batteries in, though. And the lack of temperature control means it will simply fade away quickly. there are already too many good 100 watt mods out there.

unless tc and other features become available via simple software/firmware download/upgrade
