Istick 40 tc Charging Issues

So I really like the thing great device but using a 0.5 amp wall adapter it does not fully charge and using a 1 amp wall adapter the adapter and the cord gets very (very) warm.
Sorta don't want to plug the USB into my expensive computer. Wishing I'd not purchased it for these reasons.
Anyone else having the same issues?

Not here.
I'm using a 2.1A iPad usb wall adapter and my istick 40 only gets a bit warm.

It's not a good sign that the cable is getting very warm though. It might be a too high a gauge wire to handle 1A. Do you a different cable you can use?

Thanks for the idea, I have a samsung wall wart here I'll have to try. I have tried a couple different usb cables, no shortage of those after almost 4yrs of vaping (and buying) Thanks again for your reply and a good idea. Cheers
