Have you used them before? Their prices are amazing. Wish I'd seen them before, could have saved £10 on the Smok!
I haven't but I think they are ok. Got a shipping mail almost immediately with a request to put a review on their website at some stage. If all is ok,my heir prices are nuts on some stuff at least! With expedited shipping etc,Mathis is pretty much the same as getting one from gear best or 3fvape without the 3 week/month wait!! I'll let you know when it turns up!!

3fvape without the 3 week/month wait!!

Or 5-6 days :) But yeah their prices are incredible. Out of this world for UK, and not far off even Chinese prices. That £25 for the iStick TC is only £0.50 more than 3FVape with fast EMS delivery and £2.50 more than FastTech with slower Signapore Post. Unbelievable. (And 3F aren't even meant to use EMS because it's got a battery in it.)

Of course it can't be a legit vendor, in that there's probably no warranty for devices like the iStick from Eleaf who require use of official vendors.

But for that price, who cares. Just buy another one if it breaks :)

Yeah. Most of the stock looks like it began its life at FT or whatever but, as you say, if it breaks not such a biggie!! To be honest I was going to get another istick 30 - I use it for my work mod with a Buddha mini but thought I mayb as well try this thing as I am intrigued about its TC performance!!

Very nice! And that was with the free delivery via Hermes? Even better, I've always found they take a few days.
yup! I guess Hermes work over the weekend! First impression are the build quality which is really very good. Buttons are excellent! 510 seems pretty solid and firm! Hope the vape quality
is up to it :)

Have you done Titanium micro/contact coils before on other devices? If not, then that's very likely the problem.

Sometimes you can have shorting problems when you first fire contact Titanium coils. If you continue to have problems, try testing spaced coils instead.

To get contact Titanium coils working you can also try gently torching the wire first, or pre-pulsing it on VW mode at a low wattage. Don't torch/pulse it too much - at most you want to see the wire turn first gold, then blue. You don't want it to go past blue to grey, throw it away and start gain if that happens.

Come to the Titanium thread for more discussion on all that.

OP here,

I did a 7/8 wrap with 26guage on 3/32 drill bit... dual micro coils... 0.19ohms.. "Grade 1 pure 100% Titanium wire" from Unkamen

TXBiker, do you own an iStick 40?

I will try to build another one in a bit....maybe my unit is defective.

As @TheBloke said, try spaced coils first. I would also suggest go with a single coil build also - dual coils can cause trouble in TC unless they are perfectly matched!. Let us know either way and good luck. Hope the mod isnt broken and its just a technical glitch with the coiling!

Glad you got something going and that's a negative I do not own any more isticks. The first couple of their products that I bought failed miserably so I'm done with them. I'm playing with a friends DNA 200 for the month while he's gone. Cool as hell so far and a fun build, but TC is still in it's infancy so until it slows down I'm on the sidelines and trying friends TC mods or demoing new toys at my B&M cheaper that way.

looking good. Threw on a 0.35ohm spaced Ti build. Vaping very nicely at 370F (about 40-50F higher than on sx mini m-class). I will try to dig out something with Ni on it in due course, but I think we can remove 'doesnt' from the thread title!

btw, Im using a taifun GS2 and it is heavier than the istick!!!

interesting. Just lobbed the Erl nano with Ti on and have temp set at 310F which is where I had it on VFlask...

These two are made for each other. They weigh nothing...

Yep so I built another coil (spaced), didn't dry-burn it , and now it works fine in TC mode... 0.19ohms and I have it set at 330F...

So maybe it had something to do with it being dry-burnt or micro-coiled...Or maybe the leads weren't screwed down properly, though I made it pretty tight...Maybe I cut a lead?

Sorry if I scared anyone! I should have done more testing before panicking on the forums!

Enjoy TC'd Ti coils on this mod yall!

PS. I still find it weird that it let me vape on regular mode at 0.19ohms..

Not clear how that table was derived but I can say with some certainty on most mods setting T at 200F + below the Ni temp will not work well. Between say target temp for Ni of 400-500F, dropping by 100-120F generally gives good results - at least in my experience! It will vary from atty to atty and mod to mod but setting 270F with Ti for a normal Ni target temp of 440F will produce little or na vapour with my setups!

ps. just spotted the caveat at the bottom of the table which does sound more reasonable!

Wow, I sure hope any newb fully reads this or bypassed all together.
There are some seriously wrong answers from a few that maybe are just to new to TC to understand......... or think magic is going on in the firmware.......I just don't know.

Thankfully a few goodhearted members have gone to lengths to explain proper usage and battled through the B.S.

Thank you that stuck with it!
