Hi Empty,
I have the 50W Istick, with the Kanger Subtank Mini, - Very Impressed with both. I hope you find
both as satisfying as I have found mine. Myself I am " new" to vaping.
I did join here for help. Every time I searched for info prior to buying my set up. I found myself landing
here at the E-cigarette-forum. I to gain so many kind informative responses from my first post.
The people here, from all over, from all walks of vaping. Each person to help me on so many levels.
My need for knowledge, as I am in vaping Pre-school. Many came forward to help within the settings of the Istick.
Persons to offer their knowledge advise instantly. You may find yourself with questions, it's a powerful set up.

I also have the eleaf 50w with the subtank mini... I am very impressed also.. since I started vaping I haven't smoked a cigarette since last October but I don't plan on stopping the vape anytime soon
I just got a Subtank Nano on an iStick 30w with .5 coil this week.
I love the thing, but I'd advise stepping down a level depending on what you had before this. I had a $#!t iTaste VV V3.0 with a Protank Mini, which was enough to get me into the scene, but not much else. I was consistently on 18mg and even that was hard for me to stay away from cigarettes (1/2 pack+ a day). I switched to 12mg yesterday and even that hits a bit hard with the 30w and .5 coil, so I plan on going to 6mg later this week and caping my ... off.

What settings /Fav Settings are you using?
Fav Settings? I have been using a ego so my new setup is going to be a big improvement.
I have a Subtank original and I am around 20 to 25 watts depending on the juice with the OCC .5 ohm coil. Didn't like the 1.2 ohm OCC coil. Tried the RBA with factory deck and vaped the same wattages. I have found, for me, anythng over 30 watts was giving me a burned taste.
Two things, I dropped my nic drastically, with an MVP and Nautilus Mini I vaped 18 mg. With this tank I vape 8mg and will drop to 6 mg next bottle. The other thing is it goes through juice! I have a number of bottles of 18 mg to 24 mg when I had the MVP. I have gone through 2 30 Ml bottles in the two weeks I have had the Subtank and Istick 50w!
This setup got me off cigs a second time and so far I ahve managed to stay off. Very gald I found it.

Yea from what I was reading a lot of people are using between 3mg to 6mg with the Sub's when I started vaping I was using 18mg now I'm down to 12. I guess since I have already made up 12mg flavors I will try and use them up before dropping mg. Are you vaping at the full 30w?

Warmer or cooler is all preference. Some like a warm vape, some like a cool vape. You have to find out for yourself.
When you increase watts or volts, the results are the same; increases warmth and increases vapor production.
He said to be at 3.8volts. That's just a recommendation for you to start with especially using a Subtank Mini. Recommendation because that voltage is like a median; a place where it's in between a warm and a cool vape. It's for you to decide if you want it warmer (increase watts) or a cooler (decrease watts) vape.
The sweet spot for me on the Subtank Mini is usually around 20-25 watts, but everyone is different. You may like it lower than 20, while I obviously like it higher than 20.
Every juice is different. They all excel at certain watts. I say excel because the flavor maybe at it's peak at certain watts settings. You have to play around (increase or decrease) to find a great setting for yourself.
Yes you have an istick that can do 50 watts, but it doesn't mean you have to use 50 watts. That's the beauty of your device, you can adjust to your liking.
And may I ask this, what mg or % is the nicotine in your juice?

Thanks! I made up a few smaller batches of 12mg but if that's to much I will drop that down to 3 6 8? I will just have to test out different mg to see what I like to be at.
I stay at around 20w I'm using the 1.2 ohm coil only because I need to rewick the .5 but I prefer the .5 better.
I switched from an ego as well. the hardest part for me was getting down the direct lung inhale.... but the flavors are so much better.

Too Add - I began with a 12 mg Juice with my Istick/Kanger, that I now have a full array - Juices
all are different ratios, mgs of Nics.
The first Juice I purchased, the 12 mg. I had tried Vaping only once before. My bf had an awesome Juice.
He who introduced me to Vaping, as he too just started. His Juice was holy smokes no pun, 20mg of Nic.
I literally was WHOA - the flavor was outstanding. His buddy created it. What he used, I haven't a clue.
The flavor was a burst of blueberry and then came a tart tangy punch of " candy gum razzle " flavor.
It rocked. Nothing I have tried " in testing" to come close.
The Juice I bought first, 12mg. 50/50 ratio, Is Kismet by The Steam Factory, flavor Profile: Granny Smith Apple and Anjou Pear
It at first came off with a slight taste of Red Bull. It's not either one flavor over the other. It's decent. It's not a punch of flavor.
I saw your other post you were liking the Green Apple.
Yesterday after Vaping Kismet since Friday, I stopped at a different Vape shop. I purchased Two Juices.
One is 12mg, it's made by the actual store/business, Store: Detroit Vapors
Their in-house Brand: Motor Oil Name: Pure
Flavor Profile: Mango, Peach, Pineapple and others - meaning tropical I guess
It's not over, it's not under. You can smell and taste the fresh Pineapple as the top note.
I like it a lot - my coil is preventing me from it's full flavor potential.
The other is a 6mg. It's Brand: Black River Name: RaspLemon
When I tested this, it was a burst of Raspberry with a Tang of Lemon, very Fresh.
Instantly I knew I was going to buy it.

that I added some of the Tribeca to the Kismet. I thought what the heck. Green Apple/Pear with Vanilla/Caramel
- honest the outcome of the two mixed: Pretzels
This what it Vaped, as if I was eating snack Pretzels, with a tink of salt even. I didn't tell my bf that I had
mixed the two, he vaped it, he said it's like .. Pretzels .. me: " Yup" - I dumped it and then began
with the Pure (that I bought). This to be now a hot mess in my tank. I have tried to run the water etc
to clear out the older flavors, it's not enough.
I know I need to do more/clean the coil/cotton. The Tribeca even me adding a few drops, it's still clinging.
I too passed that one off, my bf said, I don't want it, I said trade it with someone, he was Heck yeah, I can do that.
It's Tobacco with flavor, me/he no likey. Has nothing to do with the Brand, it's simply not our taste.
High Quality Yes. Taste not ours to Vape.
My issue is my Tank, you can clean it out, dry it, sure easy. It's the Cotton, it's saturated, and builds off
the first flavor I had in it. So I have to do my homework. I not able to gain a clean ' Vape' of these new flavors.
- due to the cotton is holding and kicking off residue flavor. Any suggestions - I am reading ppl using Hot Water,
Distilled Water, all the way up to Alcohol, to actual Vodka, to cleanse out their Cotton (coil).

Yea I have been a MTL so far but have been trying to DL more. I'm thinking my 12mg batches are going to be to strong I might end up making some more at a lower mg I will just have to wait and see.

Thanks for all of your insight! Sounds like you did go juice crazy lol That tho is something I can already see myself doing I have like 10 flavors that I have gotten so far and already have 15 more on the way. As for cleaning I to have been reading up on it and will most likely give the alcohol or vodka a try, or buy a 5 pack of extra coils to keep on hand to ether re-wick or try cleaning or both. I was reading also where someone was using a ultrasonic cleaner with good results some of the lower watt ones are not bad priced so that might be a option also.
Same here. The only reason why I'm using a 1.2 ohm coil right now is because I've got two packages of the 1.2 ohm coils and I need to use them up. After using the 0.5 ohm coil, I much prefer that to the 1.2. I'm vaping a 80VG/20PG juice and I run the 1.2 ohm at around 20 watts and the 0.5 ohm at around 23 watts, sometimes 25 watts.

This what it Vaped, as if I was eating snack Pretzels, with a tink of salt even. I didn't tell my bf that I had
mixed the two, he vaped it, he said it's like .. Pretzels .. me: " Yup" - I dumped it and then began
with the Pure (that I bought). This to be now a hot mess in my tank. I have tried to run the water etc
to clear out the older flavors, it's not enough.
I know I need to do more/clean the coil/cotton. The Tribeca even me adding a few drops, it's still clinging.
I too passed that one off, my bf said, I don't want it, I said trade it with someone, he was Heck yeah, I can do that.
It's Tobacco with flavor, me/he no likey. Has nothing to do with the Brand, it's simply not our taste.

My issue is my Tank, you can clean it out, dry it, sure easy. It's the Cotton, it's saturated, and builds off
the first flavor I had in it. So I have to do my homework. I not able to gain a clean ' Vape' of these new flavors.
- due to the cotton is holding and kicking off residue flavor. Any suggestions - I am reading ppl using Hot Water,
Distilled Water, all the way up to Alcohol, to actual Vodka, to cleanse out their Cotton (coil).

You could try soaking the coil in vodka to get rid of the Tribeca taste. That's what I've seen advised to do on the forums to get rid of prior flavors.

New here too and just upgraded to the subtank mini and the ileaf 50.
My previous setup was the emow mega which i run at 4v and that was fine. I'm using the 1.2 OCC in the mini and running at around 20 watts but for some reason the emow is providing more vapour. Juice is Cosmic Fog Kryptonite in the mini.
I have made sure the coil was pre soaked and let it stand for ages to make sure it was not dry but was wondering if there was something I may be missing as all the videos I've seen are showing more vapour being produced than I'm getting.

I ordered the iStick 50w about a month ago to upgrade from my MVP 2.0 and haven't looked back, since. I use a UD Igo-W plus RDA and just LOVE it. I run a dual nano coil(26 gauge wrapped around a 1mm drill bit 12 times. Comes out to be between 0.3 and 0.4 ohms according to the iStick) with a little cloud of cotton under it and I have found the flavor output to be great, while also giving pretty big clouds. I really don't care about how big the clouds are. I mainly just want flavor. The battery on that istick just lasts forever, too. I normally get at least 2 or 3 days out of it.
