iStick security code not working.

If I did by chance get a clone I don't think I'm too upset because the thing works great. I just cannot for the life of me get the security code to work no matter how I enter it.

It the code supposed to be 4 sets of 4 numbers?

0000 1111
2222 3333

That is how the security code is set up and I'm unsure of how to enter it, but I've tried every way possible and the website says it's not a recognized number.

The packaging and istick itself look exactly as it should as I've seen other posts about it because I did research before buying the thing like anyone would.

Well, there is the Smart-20, which is a clone (except that it says "Smart-20" instead of "istick" on it) so it wouldn't surprise me if there were counterfeits as well...

Because people are liars, and they'll rip you off if you let them. There is nothing wrong with a manufacturer doing what they can to help ensure people get what they're paying for.

Did you ever get this figured out? I just purchased one today at a local shop and cannot get the code to work. I also paid about $50 for it, got the guy to knock $10 off - I see it online everywhere for $38 and they were asking $59. Worries me a bit that I cannot confirm its authenticity but I suspect their code is just weird and not documented.

I think there might be a misunderstanding here. The security code isn't for any settings, it's for seeing if the iStick you have is genuine or a clone.

yeah mine isnt working either. and im sure its an authentic, as people have said there are clones - i looked at all the clones and none yet use "torq screws" like the original

tried the 4set color codes, also tried the S/n: code at the bottom


wonder if their database is down... or something else fishy..

thank makes me wonder if the "isticks" we received are non authentic(i doubt) or... when istick was PUSHING these out by the millions... a "few" never got scanned and coded to the database...

That price is outrageous i have several isticks and never paid more than 36$. Ive been getting them for family and friends i have talked into vaping, and i use a company based in china that only sells authentics, their shipping takes 7-10 business days but their prices and customer service is top notch. Heres a link give them a try and save yourself some money.
