So my first vaping device purchase, a ProVari, arrived today. STOKED!

First I'd like to say, I am extremely pleased with the delivery time. It was shipped on the 29th, and is here today the 31st. That's fantastic. The juice samples I ordered came with this package, despite reading on their website and in an email that the liquid would be shipped separately. I was not looking forward to waiting until Monday to go to a B&M store in the next town for juice.

Secondly, as I said, this is my first vaping purchase. I don't know whether or not to call this beauty an e-cig, VV, mod, etc... I am not familiar with much terminology. I'm not familiar with how any of the secondary components work. I don't even know if my batteries come pre-charged or if I need to charge them. I definitely don't know anything about the atomized cartridges or 3.5ml DCT cartomizer tank that I received.

So last, I'll provide a picture of the contents of my box below, and I'm hoping someone can just nudge me in the right direction, help me get started, basically introduce this new ProVari owner into the world of vaping. Thanks in advance for any and all tips/advice/help. Also sorry for the big picture, I just want to make sure y'all can see everything clearly

I began charging my 2 batteries a few minutes after I posted , now they are both green and showing as fully charged. Based on some of the posts I've seen is it safe to assume that most battery charges in my future will not be so quick, or do I have a super charger? Note: I bought the multi-charger, not the Pila.

You did buy a beast - and by that I mean good!

The batteries will take a little while to charge...an 18650 takes my charger a few hours (I had the exact charger you have now, but have upgraded since).

Looks like you have some kind of tank? The cartomizer you have is probably ready for the tank if you have holes in it. I also see that you bought an atomizer of some sort (HH maybe?).

Pour some liquid in either set-up and let us know how it goes...you have in your hands one of the better mods out there and everyone on here will help you along.

If the cartomizers you have don't have holes in them, just fill one with liquid (a standard cartomizer should take 20 or so drops and an XL more like 30 or so) and attach it. Start at low voltage (maybe 3.4 or so) and work up until it starts to taste a little burnt, then back down to where the flavor seems best to you. There are plenty of videos on YouTube that will show you how to fill cartomizers.

For the cartomizers in the tank, they need at least one hole punched. I don't use carto tanks much, so I'll let a carto tank expert handle that part. :)

You bought a very solid device and I predict you'll be very happy with it.

Be sure to drip juice into the filling in the cartomizer until it looks slushy. Just sticking a dry cartomizer into the tank and filling the tank with juice won't work. It won't soak up the juice through the hole(s) in the carto fast enough to keep the carto from burning. The carto filler material has to be wet with juice to keep from burning. And once it is burned, it is ruined. All you can do then is throw the carto away and use a new one.

I personally have stopped buying disposables of any kind. I have 2 rebuildable atomizers, and my husband is working on a genesis style for me so it will have a built in tank... I am learning DIY currently... My e-cigarette expenses range around $20/month for juice. That includes a bottle of juice from a vendor, and a few flavorings for DIY.

Just giving you a few ideas...

As far as what to call it, I call mine a "PV". When asked for an explanation I tell them it stands for personal vaporizer, and is similar to electronic cigarettes, except that it works much better.

Recommend watching a You Tube video on how to fill a carto tank, or DCT cartomizer, if you haven't already. These tanks can leak juice all over that pretty Provari if you don't do things just right.

There's pretty much a fine line in doing things right or wrong with carto tanks. Most issues are from lack of knowledge or user error. A couple of tips and then I'm done for now. When dripping your juice into the cartomizer (before putting into the tank), a broken wood toothpic placed inside the air hole in the top will prevent getting juice into that air hole (a no no). When the polyfill material looks and stays relatively wet like a slushy, its full and you can remover the toothpic and place the carto into your tank.

Be sure that both end caps and the tube are assembled before sliding the filled carto 1/3 of the way in. Novices who fill the tank and then add the top cap are doomed to have juice everywhere.

Getting a tank tool like the one below will make future tank filling and assembly much easier, and it will also save your end cap's o-rings from getting injured by the sharp edges on the top of the carto.

Enjoy your Provari. You just got one of the best devices available. Many of us look back and wish that we knew then what we know now and would have gotten one way before we did.

I am in love. I'm just in another world with my Provari. Haven't smoked a cigarette since the second I got it.

I have 3 questions.

1. Why can't I get my chocolate juice from Provape to taste right? I've tried it in a tank, 2 separate atomizers, a clearomizer and a cartomizer with drip tip. It always tastes burnt.

2. What is propylene glycol and should I/ can I avoid it? Is it dangerous?

3. After having the Provari for only a few days, I've noticed that every now and then when I'm going through the menu it doesn't read when I push the button. I'll push the button 7 times but it will stay stuck on Pu, or I'll push it 9 times then try to power it off, but it doesn't read it and it stays at On. I've always been able to just go back and retry and it usually works, but I'm a little worried that after only a few days it sometimes doesn't read the button when I push it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, should I send it back to Provape?

1. What ohm atomizers and what voltage have you tried? Perhaps you are trying at too high a wattage...

2. PG is a normal ingredient in e-liquid. Some people show a sensitivity, but that's not the norm. In e-liquid, more VG = more vapor, more PG = more throat hit. At least that's the general rule.

3. Not 100% sure, but the Provari is microprocessor controlled, not a simple booster. Seems like occasionally, it will pause when performing a check, such as checking voltage or ohms. In my experience it only happens when there is a low ohm atomizer, and you are hitting the button really fast.

1. I have an atomizer from provape that I bought with my provari which is giving me a 2.2 reading and I try to hit that around 4.2volts. I have some atomizers from a local shop that are giving me a 1.8 reading, and I hit those at around 3.8. I could be doing that completely wrong, but I was under the impression that lower ohm means I need to keep it at lower voltage.

2. Understood. I shouldn't be worried/scared of PG/VG should I? Regardless, it's not as bad as the alternative so I suppose it's moot. I'd just like to become a little more familiar with what I'm using.

3. If something does happen where I can't get it to function, I'm assuming this is covered under the warranty? Keeping my fingers crossed that its nothing major!

1. That's about 8 watts... perhaps try lowering the voltage I suppose. Also, have you tried the chocolate on any previous e-cigarette? Chocolate is one of those flavors that everyone has, but almost none can get right. Kinda like how alot of vendors cherry has a cherry nyquil taste.

2. If you notice any odd effects, outside of dehydration(you should be drinking more water, as PG dehydrates a bit), then you might be sensitive to it and you might look into VG only liquids. Many vendors offer the option. Otherwise, yea its safe.

3. I've have my Provari a year and a half and still works perfectly. It happens occasionally, as long as I've had it. And yea, it would be covered by warranty if it were a problem.

I haven't owned any previous e-cigarettes, this provari is my first :) I think I'm gonna just stay away from chocolate. I keep giving it chances but it ruins everything it touches (no racist).

I haven't had any ill effects from any of the juices I have tried. My fiance forces me to drink water so I think I'm good there lol. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something that's worse for me than the thousands of chemicals in a ciga..analog.

I have only found ONE chocolate, in a year and a half, that was truly good. If you want a chocolate vape, you have to try it. KBV Chocolate Cake

Check out the review of it... It's kinda funny to watch, but it's actually a pretty accurate review.

...Surprised it has the 6 dislikes...

Kick Bass Vapor makes their juices fresh, when you order them, and they are very complex recipes. They said once that the simplest recipe they had uses 5 flavorings. The result of that is that is that some of their juices need to steep. Otherwise it will have a chemically taste.

For most, they steep enough during shipping, but not always, and alot of people aren't patient enough to wait a couple days.

Oh, if you think that video is funny, you should watch his review for KBV Gooey Better Cake... I was rolling the whole time. That juice used to be my all day vape, but I'm leaning more towards fruit flavors recently.

BTW, you should check out his other reviews... He doesn't get paid to do them. He offers his personal thoughts, which are more often than not funny in some way. LOL. Just thoroughly one of my favorite reviewers.

That was the impression I got after watching the first review. It was fresh to see someone who doesn't clearly have a motive, as almost every reviewer I've seen to this point seems like they get paid or gets free products. I would love to get paid to vape lol but I'm not going to lie about anything
