Where on earth do ya'll find all these cool icons and how do you insert them so quickly? I thought you had to use links to some type of photobucket type site and then link from there, but ya'll do it so fast - is there another way. I have not seen where it will just let me paste them in so I guess that is not how ya'll are doing it...

Matter of fact, after working as a Cosmetologist/Hairstylist for over 40 years and then for a couple of "Women's Health Clinics" for 12 years . . . AND, More importantly, knowing what I know about "WOMEN" and what they have to go though and deal with on a daily bases . . . No offense to "Women" or those of the "Female" Gender . . . Without A Doubt, I do have every intention and plan to stay that way till I am DEAD . . . What happens after that - WHO Knows or Cares . . .

Well, now that you mention it - I never did introduce myself. The best way to describe me is I am a geek with a personality... In here I come to learn and also enjoy myself and my daily stuff is all geeky stuff. I develop algorithms, logarithms, logic for complicated systems, etc. This is my first shot at social media so to speak - the closest I have come to it before this is those geek forums where problems are submitted to be solved by the community... I am a moderator on one such group. They only argue - ya'll don't - I like that...

The kid.... she's doing ok. She left a while ago to go cut her friends hair. BTW, in a couple of months she gets her cosmo lic.
Her driving freaks me out but I know shes doing just fine

This thread has been in more directions than a bunch of mice dropped into a maze full of cheese would have taken. Ya'll definitely know how to welcome someone. I see there seems to be a lot of shy ones also and some lurkers to boot. I guess they need to get to know you first - testing the waters so to speak. Me - I'm more of a never met a stranger in my life kind of person.

I can definitely see why you like the Volt. Simple and complete... And with a company that likes to listen - that makes it really great...

Before we had our own SI Forum, we only had one epic thread - for what seemed like forever. We went off on all kinds of tangents, got used to it, and we can't seem to break the habit. Frankly, I'm not sure we really want to. It's kinda like a family reunion with all kinds of things going on at one time. No one really cares if you stop to pet the dog or go off on a tangent. Sometimes if we need a breather, we might go onto the back porch and just look in the windows. It's all good, because we know we're here for each other.

Yea, I have to keep my humor to a minimum to prevent arguments starting. Solving - Not starting problems is the objective and many of them get frustrated when the subject strays even the slightest. They put up with my mild humor since I have been around so long. This one group I moderate has been around since the 90's and it is fun in a geeky sort of way. Keeps your mind sharp that is for sure.

The younger up and comings are the worst of the lot - they are trying to absorb the world in a day and really do not have a life. I was lucky - I had a personality before I learned I was a geek... So the transition was easier. I go back and forth at will. I have pulled a little life out of a few of them over the years, but they are still geeks and enjoy being so. To each their own lot.

I am going to relate one story from my geek side with my personality and then this is the last time we talk work here. Back in the 90's when I was first making my mark in the geek world I developed a set of logic paths for a system that improved the overall results by about 38%. Well, the company made me turn over the logic code to their group of engineers so they could analyze what was making it work and how it was possible to get such an improvement (they never could) and they wanted to know whether or not it could be utilized in other applications. Well after about 3 -4 months of them studying it they came back and said -- "Well we do not quite understand how, but it does work." ---
My reply was "DUUUHHHHHH"... They did not like that to much and it was their first taste of my personality side. Okay, back to fun stuff...
