itaste 134 and rda

This is my 1st post. The first device I tried was a vision spinner with a counterfeit kanger protank. I didn't know it was counterfeit until I went to a real shop and looked at other protanks because mine sucked, and realized they all said kanger on the base of the tank. 1st lesson learned. So then I bought the itaste 134. The tank that came with it did have good flavor, but leaked and gurgled. So I tried the whole line of iclears. Same result. After reading online, I bought my 1st real tank system, the kayfun 3.1. Awesome. New hobby. Building coils is pretty easy, but I'm a newbie, so I hit the Web again. Now I also have the lite plus. They have great flavor and nothing compares. So I bought a couple rda's. But dual coils are useless on the itaste134, they take too long to heat up because gotta keep it above .8 ohms. So I've been playing with single coils, and with the itaste134 at 12.5 watts it's still not enough. Is it because it's regulated and 12.5 watts isn't enough power? So now I want to move to a mechanical and people say the nemesis is a good clone. Is it a whole different experience? Is a mech gonna give me that extra power I'm looking for? Is the itaste134 not really for rda's? It works ok with the kayfun but I think I can get more of of them as well. Please help, thanks

What coil build are you using in you KFL? I think a 1.4 ish micro coil should do ok at 12.5 watts in the 134. Try a 1.2 28 guage or 1.4 30 guage and see if it works better.

A mech will run 4.2 with 1.2 will only push 14.5 watts max full charged. That should work as good as 134 at 12.5.

1.4 at 4.2 is 12.5 watts too. Here is ohms law calc play around with the ohms and watts to find a good build. Don't give up, it's a great tank.

Yes, it heats up slow because .8 ohms at 12.5 watts comes out to 3.1 to 3.2 volts to your atomizer =/ Like Sthur said, 1.4ohms at 12.5 watts is great. I like my kayfun built around 1.3 to 1.5 ohms

I can get the kayfuns to work well around 1.4 thru 2 ohms on the 134. It's the rda's I'm having trouble with. I'm getting more vapor out of the kayfuns than I can from the rda's. I use a 2mm bit to make the coil, and cotton in the kayfuns. But the best way I've gotten the drippers to work is a contact coil and silica,4 or 5 wraps. The flavor sucks, But it's more vapor than a micro coil. But the micro coil and cotton tastes way better. So I should use a mech with the drippers, that way I can use cotton for the flavor? The itaste 134 just don't push the drippers.
