Standard "my 134 won't fire" scenario. Took it apart and re-soldered the wires. Took it down to the local vape shop and they tried several different tanks and batteries to no avail.

Multi meter only shows 1 volt when the button is pressed.

Don't know if it's the variable switch, but putting the dial halfway between two settings still has a green light and shows 1 volt.

Any ideas?

If I pull out the guts and wire in a mosfet and button strait to the battery and head, would that work? Or would there be problems with the whole case being the negative terminal?
The case is the negative terminal on most mech mods. Yes you could convert it to a mosfet mech. Just do a good job and insulate things well so you do not get any shorts in there and cause BAD battery venting.
there are several vids on You tube on how to wire up the mosfet, etc.

Thanks man, I ordered a button and some MOSFET's. Too cool looking just to throw away. :D
I am the same way. I would likely convert a VTC Mini to a mech if the board blew up.
Just put a little DVM in were the display normally is.
Just do good safe work and you will be happy with it.

I don't use my SVD at all anymore, but it was my first real mod and I couldn't bear to gut it :)
