Hi guys,

Its been a while since I was last here, but I have a question that I can not seem to figure out after 2 days of looking online.

I still have my trusty 134 and i have been using the Kanger Mega with 1.5's, and switching flavors by switching the Mega for a nautilus with 1.6's.

My missus came home from work a couple of days ago and opened a smallish box that got delivered and it turned out she bought me the dual atty Turbo, it came stock with 1.8's and the booklet says coil single resistance 1.5 ohms and above 20-25 watts.

I am using a ICR18650-26F for the mega and bought a Sony VTC5 2600mAh 30 Amp Battery for the Turbo on advice from a friend.

TL;DR:

Now my question is: is the battery I have bought capable of supplying the Turbo (and my mega/naut) and in a SAFE manner. I have just read that the 134 needs a ICR? I am sure i posted a question about my pink ICR before but not sure how to get the thread back up and feeling a bit of a looney for sticking with this ICR after the advice was given to me.

Either battery will work just fine. The ICR battery you have is rated for 5 amps continuous, which is all the 134 is capable of putting out anyway. I wouldn't use that battery in a mechanical mod, but for your application it's fine. The vtc5, if genuine, is probably the most highly sought-after battery for vaping right now. Nearly impossible to find at the moment, so search Google and this forum to verify that you don't have a fake. Definitely safe in the 134. Just take care not to over-charge or -discharge either battery.

Edit: The 134 is only capable of a max 12.5 watt output IIRC, and won't fire below .8 ohm. So it may not be the best device to power the Aerotank Turbo. It will likely work since your resistance will be ~.9, but might not give the ideal vape. Just a heads-up. Try it anyway :)

Hi BeerGolfClouds,

Thanks for that information! That sums everything up without any issues. Could you suggest a mod that the Turbo will be good on? The 134 has been my trusty "little" device that has not failed me yet, but would love to upgrade to something thats smaller but has the ability to kick some power out if needed. I have been looking at the Provape Provari P3 as a mobile option and 134 for home use.

I am currently walking uptown and on school runs with a Sonic Screwdriver :p

Edit:

I bought the battery from ukecigstore

You're welcome! I'm across the pond, so I'm not sure what's easily available to you in the UK...but if the tank is supposed to be running at 20-25 watts, I'd think a mod that can go up to 30 watts like a Hana Modz or Vamo V7 (more budget-friendly) would work fine. I wouldn't use that ICR battery in either of those, by the way.

You could probably get a fine vape using a mechanical mod as well, but that's opening up a whole new can of worms ;)
