I'm not criticising people that have bought them. If you enjoy the device, then that's great! I've heard that they are alright.

What I was criticising is the amount of devices that are released with problems. The V1 battery was substandard. pBusardo said it and even Innokin themselves admitted it.

This has left the people with the V1 battery without a device that works as well as a V2 version. This isn't on. Did Innokin send a free V2 battery to everyone who bought the V1?? I don't think so...

Testing devices in the field is not the right way of doing things (Er, hello CE3 Smokymisers - Possibly the worst device ever released by anyone) - Again, I'm not criticising people who love them and amazingly, some do. What I'm criticising is companies who don't properly test their products before releasing them into the wild and make the consumer the guinea pig.

I'm also of the opinion that if you need an adapter on a device to use cartomisers that are STANDARD 510 connections. Then this is pretty much a step backwards. In the case of the iTaste, it really should be that you have to use an adapter (That they supply) to use their proprietary fittings. This makes far more sense than having to use their atomisers.. It's the reason I wasn't interested. Why should I have to buy their proprietary fittings to use the device. Most other devices you have the choice... I don't want to use an adaptor, thanks... Nor do I want to necessarily buy your atomisers.

Not to mention the device looks stupid with the adapter... (IMHO)

Like I say. If you like the product. Great. For what it is, I've heard that it's OK. I'll be sticking to my ego Twist which is 1/3 of the price and I don't have to bugger about with adapters to use my standard sized cartomisers, etc.

I'm getting at the fact that they are attempting to tie you in to their proprietary atomiser system from the get-go. Or that's how I see it anyway. That you need to use adapters to make it standardised. This is a step backwards. It has nothing to do with the looks, or the size of the device. I think the iTaste looks pretty cool and I concede that it looks fine with the adapter.... The reason I didn't get one was because I didn't like the idea of it being non-standard without adapters.

IE. Why didn't it. Like most every other device out there come with a 510 connection as standard??? Rather than the magnetic fitting which seems like rather a gimmick.. And probably adds to the cost of the device in the long run... I don't have to use adapters on any one of my 510 devices. With the iTaste, you do. More crap to carry around with you. More crap to lose. Etc, etc.

As I also said, I'm not trying to get into a flame war with people who have the device. I'm just commenting on how some devices have been released into the wild not functioning correctly and the V1 battery for the iTaste was one such device.

I'll say again so I'm clear. If you like it and are happy with it, then cool! It looks really cool I think.

Still wouldn't buy one personally though as it comes with a proprietary atomiser system I just wouldn't use. Get rid of that. Add a standard connection (Thus reducing the price, and need for extra components to "mod" it) and I'd probably be interested.

@Asha23

Are you suggesting that because 510 is the 'standard' there should never be anything else ever again? No other threading will ever do for you? Ecig innovation should come to a grinding halt? Or that anything post 510 is rubbish?
Is the 510 in itself proprietary. How about eGo, or how about 808's Are their threadings proprietary? How about DSE901's or 302's, RN4081's, 801's etc. etc.?
By the way I use quite a few adaptors. On my SDMK2 I use a 901-eGo, on my Mini RoughStack 510-4081, on my mini 808D 808-510, on my OvaleV8 I have a 510-eGo. I also use still use 808's by themselves and 901's by themselves.

Oh and WE are the 'wild' that you speak of. This is a very new business. There has never been anything like it - EVER! With the internet and social media etc. feedback is INSTANT! Some things work better than others, some things get modified or have a new version before most of us have even heard of the previous version.

I, for one, am enjoying myself tremendously. Oh and not to step on anyone's toes or anything... Just because one person (who has a webcam) 'doesn't like' something - doesn't mean we all follow like sheep. Lol!

Hehe :D. I suppose the laughs are better than the groans at some of the awful videos and/or self importantance. I think I'm developing an eye twitch from all the eye rolling lol. Still enjoying it all though.

Of course, some actually entertain and even educate me :)
Oops, yes! Sory I didn't mention that. Yes, YouTube videos are very educational. The free university. I have learnt how to do hundreds of things over the years. For eg. I can russle up fancy dishes and bake difficult pastries. I can even do awesome nail art, cut my own hair, apply my own individual lash extensions, sew my own curtains and do make up like the stars... to name just a few of the hundreds of things. Not to mention scrapbooking, ecigs, music and movies.

By the way, to get off topic for a second... I was very shocked this past weekend, when my best friend who is living in Shanghai at the moment told me she couldn't watch YouTube videos! I knew about Facebook being banned, but didn't know about YouTube. I am sending her some cigs and sent her some YouTube links to watch (to learn how to fill up the cartos etc. that I am sending her). Kind of ironic that I am sending her ecigs TO China lol!

But yes, I have learnt 90% of what I know about ecigs from watching YouTube videos. An amazing educational recourse. Very sad that it is not freely available to all people of the world.
