Yes I had one and I loved it. The only reason I stopped using it was because I started building and needed something that allowed a lower resistance and had a higher wattage. But it's built great, vapes great and has a long battery life! I can't say enough good things about it.but if your going to be building lower resistance coils you might want something different. If not, then it's a perfect choice! Mine took a beating and still performed great! I highly recommend it!

I love both of my MVPs. The only drawback is that they are disposable (I have heard you can replace the battery but I have never researched that). They have about 500 charging cycles as a life span. Since they last so long between charging, even with my heavy vaping, I will probably get 2 years out them. I am currently vaping a Kayfun on an MVP2 and the coil is 1.1 ohms. My ZMax won't fire a coil that low. The MVP2 puts out a great current...very consistent and a great vape. You can also use it to charger other usb devices. It is a pass through meaning you can vape when it is charging.

101vapes usually has the full kit for $39.99....one of the best prices I have ever found for them and the customer service has been great for me. Good luck! I don't think you can go wrong with an MVP2. I have a Reo, ZMax, Vamo and several mechanical mods. I still use my MVPs in daily rotation. Yep. I vape a lot of different flavors all day long!

Welcome to ECF. To start with, there is nothing comparable for the price. They are a solid, vv/vw device with pass through capability and a very well regulated output. They are the most recommended beginning to mid level mod on here. There pretty much is no customizing. You can adjust the power to the tank to fit your needs.

What is the benefit over a regular type battery?
Is it just the ability to customize a bit more?

Yes, exactly. The customization part is a big deal, actually. With a regular battery, let's say an eGo 650mAh battery (the most common one), it fires at 3.7v, I believe. This means if you swap out your tank for one with a higher resistance, meaning it takes more heat to produce the same vapor as the one with lower resistance, you can't change the way the battery is working to compensate. On batteries like the MVP, you can change the voltage or wattage to get your vaping experience EXACTLY how you want it. Too harsh? Turn it down. Not hitting well enough, want more throat hit? Kick it up a notch. Switching out your tank for one that has a different resistance to its coil? You can change the settings to match your taste. OR, if you leave it on the wattage level you like, your MVP or other variable wattage device will compensate automatically (as in you don't need to do anything) to give you the exact some level of vape. Hope that helps. If wattage, voltage, and ohms confuse you, there are a lot of straightforward articles on here and on other parts of the interwebs.

My Kayfun 3.1 is kinda heavy and made of stainless steel. Because the MVP threads are chromed brass (soft) they wore out pretty fast and now the Kayfun is loose. Had to go back to ego threaded tanks until I get a new connector mounted to the MVP. A little lube on the threads helps them last longer. Otherwise, I love my MVP 2.0.

Welcome to ECF! Make sure when you use a 510 tank on an MVP that you always use the beauty ring. Once your tank makes contact with the pin, screw the ring up to the tank. It stabilizes it and makes it alot less likely that you'll wear the threads out.
