Have you checked your batteries voltage with a multi/dvom to confirm your charger is functioning?
not the led battery tester that comes in the kit.

Have you ever installed a battery 66mm or more in length and forced the gap in the threads of the top or bottom cap or tube connection completely flush with each other by over tightening?
This compresses the spring and can push the press fit chip mount out of place.

What batteries are you using? - ( brand name, protected or unprotected, mah, amp/cdr, size )

You can try stretching the bottom spring by pulling on the brass colored pin in the base cap, I don't suggest it because usually you'll pull it out of its seat in the base cap and is almost impossible to get back in correctly.

Just signed up after searching for this problem. I have a similar, although not identical issue.
The SVD shows the battery as fully charged. If I start at 20W then I get the check battery warning and it cuts out. If I then drop it to less watts (17W is normally enough) then it works fine. I find I can then move back up to 20W and it works without issue until I come to pick it up again in 30 mins. Might be worth checking if you have the same results?
