Itaste SVD long tube problems

I'm sorry if this has been covered. I searched but didn't find anything.

I got my SVD in this morning and it's great, except I can't thread the long tube onto the device. I looked, and the threads look good, it just won't go. I can turn it around and it will thread on the cap end just fine, for about 1/2 inch or so, then it won't go any further. I'm afraid to try too hard, I don't want to strip out anything.

Anyone had this issue? If I knew what threads the tube is supposed to be, I could maybe find a tap and run it through.

Any ideas?

Have you tried blowing it out or working a soft brush around on the threads? Maybe some shavings in there between threads.

Haven't had a chance to check anything out yet. I'll take it out to the shop tomorrow and give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
