I'm looking to purchase either one of these mods but don't know which is the better of the two. Please help!

The iTaste SVD ($90) kit contains:

Standard Kit Contents:
1x iTaste SVD
2x iClear30 Dual Coil Clearomizers with rotating drip tip
3x iClear30 Dual Coil Replacement Heads
1x Long Telescopic Tube (For 18650 Battery)
1x Short Telescopic Tube (For 18350 Battery)
1x Thread cover to hide outer threads when using 510 style attachments like the Vivi Nova or Smoktech DCT
1x Dual Trustfire Universal Battery Charger
1x 18650 eFest 2000mah Battery

The Tesla kit ($100) contains:

the TESLA body in black.
(2) 2200 mah 18650 batteries, and your charger :)
1 3.5ml Vivi Nova
1 replacement dual coil cartomizer
(1) 10ml bottle of Groove-E-Juice, made fresh to order :)
I really like stainless steel, but quality matters too.

I'd save up for a provari..:) Like I say in many other threads, I'm a snob.

Everyone knew that was bound to happen! Provari owners troll the forum looking for posts that specifically say NO PROVARI!!! in the thread title. And then they post GET A PROVARI!!! lol.

Hey, I'm about to be one myownself is soon as it gets here.

best regards, larry mac

I don't think the kit is a good value. You can get a better charger and batteries seperately. The only person I know that has a Tesla wished she saved up for a ProVari, and I actually know nothing about the SVD.

For the record, even if someone has a couple of ProVari, they do take the time to read the OP and not recommend what is not wanted. :)

I don't own a svd, but I researched it to death since I was in your same position an l didn't want to wait for a provari when I lost my ego twist. That being said I would go with the svd, I have not heard many good things about the tesla. If you do a search there is a thread about the svd here where many owners post there opinions about it. Most people that own an svd seem to be pretty pleased with it. I ended up buying an itaste vv v3 and have been pretty happy with it. I still plan to buy an svd and a provari. If you are like me and love vaping, buy what you can afford now, play with it, learn from it and then upgrade. Your starter equipment can then be passed on or loaned to cloee friends that are interested in switching.
Just my $.02, hope it helps!

And he also stated he can't afford one! Geeez!!! I hate these types of responses. I'm sure if he had to the money to get one he would, he posted the 2 he wanted, if your not going to help they why bother posting about the provari when someone says they cannot afford it!!!

Thanks, I'm not alone with finding these post irritating!

Anyway, OP, I'd go with the SVD, they are solid and have great performance!

If you're not in a rush, you can get the SVD body from FastTech for $37, then get far better batteries and a charger from RTD for maybe $40, and maybe $20 for a ProTank. Still under $100, but a bit better setup than the kit (better batteries/charger).

Just an option.
I have an SVD that I got from FastTech, and I love it.
(note - that was before the current postal snafus - shipments now are taking at least a couple weeks...and it's not advisable to order juice or batteries).

I have a Tesla myself, the airflow isn't the best and the start up can be annoying since it has a little font that goes across the screen saying "Tesla System: ON" which can seem cool for the first week but just takes too long.
I also have two friends with SVD's, one doesn't use it at all and the other swears by it. I think the telescopic is really cool and it aesthetically looks like one of those memory erasers from MIB but the tesla looks like a light sabre. Also the Tesla's quite reliable I drop it all the time and it is always vaping strong.

+1 for SVD, it does a lot more than any provari and takes a wider range of batteries just by spinning the lower cover. A wider base makes it more stable sitting upright on a table etc. The button light changes color (green = full, yellow = low & red = charge), which is a very useful feature and should be standard on all electronic mods.
