I am considering moving up from my egos, and wondering if the iTaste is the right way for me to go. I want simple, I don't want to have to tinker, I am not going to rebuild anything. I would like to stick with my bcc's. Is this a good choice for lazy vapers? Any thoughts on this device would be appreciated.

I've not used one, but I've seen people use them at my local vape shop. I imagine its like a smaller version of the iTaste MVP.

Should be similar to your eGo's in form factor and size, but with variable wattage and an ohm reader. Keep in mind it's only an 800 mAh battery (approx. 8 hours use, depending upon how heavy a vaper you are). It does have pass through ability, so you can use it while charging or connected to a USB power source.

I bought one while still using ego batteries. It definitely has features that work but the battery life on it is terrible. I went from 1100mah ego batteries to it and after having done so I did not consider it to be a step up for me. I later bought an MVP for not much more than I spent on the VV3. I think the VV3 can be had for mid 20$ range now though.
MVP is a solid step up from ego batteries. It has all the features the VV3 has with 3 times the battery life. MVP is smaller than a pack of smokes.

I still use my VV3, mainly just for testing flavors at home with bridgeless atomizers or dry burning Kanger coils. I have used my MVP to charge my VV3 though :)

Agree 100% on the battery life of the VV3, lasts maybe an hour or two under constant usage in my experience with it. If stand-alone battery life is a big deal for the OP, the MVP2 will more than likely be a better choice for just a little more investment (I don't have one but it's the front-runner for my next variable device purchase). It's a bit wider than the VV3 but a little shorter.

If you have routine access to a USB port (car, computer, AC, etc) then the passthrough option makes battery life somewhat of a non-factor, and it charges quickly, from dead to full in about an hour.

I've had mine for roughly six months and use it all the time, my go-to choice when road-tripping and traveling. Works great with just about every major clearo and carto out there right now.

I like mine!! I have 2 right now and use bcc Kankers on them. Mine have great battery life but I'm not a canstant vaper wither. I've never had one run out in a days time. They are solidly built and much better than an Ego and are just a bit bigger. 101VApe has the Express for $26 right now, just the battery and charger, no clearos.

You must have a bad one. My puff counter on the current charge is at 402 and my battery is still at 3.7v. I use it set pretty low, but "an hour or two" seems crazy bad.

I think they're amazing for what they do in such a small package. At 25 bucks they're a no brainer for me.

Okay, I'm sold. In the cart it goes - for the money it would just be silly not to try it out. Just one for now, as I have a ton of eGo's. If this is the one for me, then I will have to start another collection I guess. Thanks for all the input, everyone, and if it turns out that the battery life is an issue for me, I promise not to complain - I've been warned!

I was probably overstating that estimate and should have clarified -- I meant constant, regular usage, like if I were chain-vaping. I'd actually be impressed if it lasted as long as two hours under those conditions.

I also don't use a really high wattage either, most of my juices and tank combinations I keep between 6 and 9 watts, usually towards the lower end of that range and rarely do I ever go above that. However, I do notice that the LED battery color indicator doesn't take very long to go from amber to red to completely dead, maybe 20-30 uses. Just a relative newbie's opinion as I don't have an extensive collection of devices to compare it against.

All in all I am very satisfied with it (mine came from VapingMe so I'm confident it's a legit version), hence my keen interest in picking up the MVP2 for longer battery life. You're making a good choice, Ruby!

Pretty darn late in revisiting this thread, but I should really update.

I was not aware that the LED would turn off when it was fully charged -- so I was not completely charging it all the way full before starting to use it again. Feel like an idiot. The battery should last quite a bit longer now that I'm aware of this. Hopefully y'all don't think any less of me!

Nah, we don't :)
It's actually a common error. Heck, green light means it's time to go, right?

And mine has always shut down pretty quickly after hitting red. Doesn't seem to be a lot in the "reserve" tank! So I just usually charge after around 200 of my draws. And always have at least one backup with me :)

My wife has had one since November and has used it off and on since then. She also routinely uses an MVP, so the VV is not her only device. We both enjoy the way it functions and performs, but the battery life has already started to significantly decrease. It's not an all day vaper for her by a long shot.

Personally, I also question it's ability to actually put out the wattages it purports to be capable of, being that it has such a physically small size and capacity battery.

If you like the way it functions and performs, then doesn't it seem like it's performing as advertised?

While most lithium chemistry batteries are rated 250 to 300 charge cycles, the way they're used can affect that. And, of course, that's the "average" life, not the life specific to any one unit. Sorry to hear that yours is fading.

In my case, I knew going in that 800 wasn't going to get me through a day, but it's a great backup to something bigger, and I never go out without at least one backup.

Sorry about that. I should have been more specific. While overall it functions well, I question whether it is really delivering the wattage it is set to at it's higher settings.
