That's a pt2 and since the aero tank has the same diameter base and threading, I'd say you'd be fine. Take notice of the gap in the top ring.

Thanks! I sent an inquiry to the vendor I buy from, while waiting, I started searching and did indeed find that image. I completed my order. Later, I get a reply from the vender saying the Aero Tank will not fit through the ring. So then I'm like HUH and asked here. While writing this I got a correction e-mail from the vendor with an apology. Thanks again, I had already ordered one tank that wouldn't fit and I don't want to modify the device and prefer not to use the extension if I don't need to.
I got my Aerotank today. So far this setup is doing great. I would recommend it to any newb looking to upgrade.
So I have one problem with this setup so far. When the Aerotank is on the VTR there is very little base to grab the tank by. This results in the top of the tank unscrewing from the base of the tank when you're attempting to remove it. The only part of the tank base to get a grip on is the airflow control ring and I feel like I put too much stress on the ring when I'm fighting to remove the base. That said I still love how they look and function together.
I just got a VTR & Aerotank from my local shop. Quick upgrade considering I just started vaping. I see where you're coming from with the tank being a little tricky to get off the VTR, but the combo is GREAT! THe guy at my local shop was so cool, we set it up together & he showed me everything!
Yeah it's a great combination. I feel that with more experience using it I will learn how to minimize the tank base fighting.
As hard as it may to be to believe, I fight with it a bit on my MVP. If you have a decent enough grip with your fingers, you'll be fine to grab the aerotank base and twist it off the VTR. I've run quite a few tankfuls of juice on my setup after receiving my aerotank base and haven't noticed any ill effects of unscrewing the way I describe. BTW, is your VTR v1 with the spinning base or the v1.5(?) with the fixed base?
I got the v1 with the spinning base. I generally don't have decent enough grip with my fingers until I spin the airflow ring all the way to the top so I can use it as a grip.
That works as well. Unfortunately, it fudges that sweet spot of airflow you just had.
I know right; and what's the first thing I do when I get it assembled again? I suck my face inside out because the airflow is now completely closed
i am going to buy the vtr. i have not decided on the tank yet though. i am leaning toward the protank 3. i want to be able to hold more juice and still fit on the side though. has anyone had a custom one made form ibtanked? if i got the 19mm and and made it taller than the xl, would it work? has anyone tried this? pics?
I am also looking at the VTR due to the fact I can only vape what my local vape shop sells and I work there! RBAs and whatever else you all can recommend!
As another person using this combo, I can say not tightening the tank down so tightly works wonders. I do have the fixed base model so that could make a difference, but it is a great combo. Congrats on the upgrade.

The Vape101 model is a non swivel 510 with all these disclaimers, but the price is hard to beat. I ordered one! Looking at the Taifun GS as a RBA optione, but the Aero is local and I will funnel that money into my vape shop to vape their liquids.
You have to be careful unscrewing PT2's from your VTR. Just don't tighten the crap out of them. I am trying really hard to resist the urge to get rid of the ring on mine so my KFL will fit in there...
